Toxic and hazardous gas monitoring systems. Equipment: motors, motor starters, motor controls, batteries, uninterruptible power supplies, emergency generators, power conditioners, power monitors, heaters, rectifiers, solenoid valves, combustion engine controls, boiler controls, switches, relays, power supplies, pumps, fans, variable frequency drives, soft starters, load banks. Switches, limit switches, temperature detectors, proximity sensors, fuses, relays, circuit breakers, contacts, contactors, power supplies, timers, counters, connectors, splices, strain relief, terminals, terminations, cables, cords, conductors, receptacles, plugs, bus bars. 2 Construction Management and Coordination. o Review and evaluate electrical power, lighting, and low voltage systems and identify design issues prior to construction. o Ensure the work is in accordance to the plans and specifications including contractor work quality. o Maintain current contractor scope and approve/negotiate change orders. o Observe the installation, startup and commissioning of electrical and low voltage systems to CH2M HILL, Pittsburgh, PA 2015 Senior Electrical Engineer In responsible charge of the electrical design for large industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. Major projects include: $40M renovation of a test and assembly facility to be a state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility First-of-kind, high rise, green-field, 55MW, $115M Data Center. Greenfield $24M enterprise Data Center. Design of power monitoring system for 13.2 MW (IT load) Data Center Two separate power master plans for major data center sites (60MW and 100MW capacity) to Michael Baker Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA 2011 Electrical Department Manager Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, lead the electrical engineering department consisting of 12 engineers and designers. Responsibilities included technical oversight of all electrical engineering for projects that were primarily for military use, including Reserve Centers, Equipment Maintenance Facilities, Barracks and Multi-Family Buildings, Office Buildings, Dining Facilities, and Forward Operating Bases in Afghanistan with focus energy efficient technologies for buildings to CH2M HILL, Pittsburgh, PA 2010 Manager of Operations, Solar PV Program and Project Worked under the Program Director to establish CH2M HILL as the premier EPC firm to serve the solar PV manufacturing market sector. Responsibilities included leading and tracking marketing and business development activities using Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, establishing new client relationships, client management, project management, and strengthening internal communications pathways to achieve project success. 3 Operations Manager, Project Manager Managed the Pittsburgh office operation for CH2M HILL s Electronics and Advanced Technology business unit reporting directly to the Americas Region Manager. Responsible for strategic planning, administrative and facility services, project delivery and project performance, staffing coordination, and cross business unit communication and coordination. Played major role in establishing IDC Architects, a subsidiary CH2M HILL, in the Pittsburgh office and won significant projects in corporate (Medrad, Seagate, Axcelis), research and development (University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University), and data center (IBM) markets to diversify office portfolio. Created business plans to support the Industrial and Advanced Technology (I&AT) and IDC Architects business units mission. Led the Pittsburgh office through downturns in the market and retained core staff through successful business development and marketing strategies. Served as client service manager for major key client account generating over $10 million in annual revenues. Directly managed several projects, including turn-key toxic gas monitoring system, design of a 10,000 SF nanotechnology research clean room facility, and 125,000 SF, $27 million corporate headquarters that earned a LEED Gold rating. Led win strategy for proposals and presentations executed out of the Pittsburgh office. Electrical Engineer, Project Manager, Electrical Discipline Manager Industrial Design and Construction, Inc. (IDC) Led electrical design teams for multi-million dollar capital projects. Developed expertise in electrical systems for 24/7 manufacturing facilities and data centers where power reliability is critical to the building s and the company s mission. Designed normal and emergency power distribution, UPS, lighting, life safety, instrumentation and controls, and telecom systems. Performed engineering calculations including short circuit analysis, voltage drop, load flow and demand load. Responsible for equipment selection and sizing, field surveys, drawing preparation, and construction administration. Managed the electrical department consisting of a staff from 4 to 12 engineers, designer and drafters.
