It also applies to apparatus designed to be used exclusively in combination with the above-mentioned apparatus. This standard primarily concerns apparatus intended for household and similar general use but which may also be used in places assembly such as schools, theatres, places of worship and the workplace. Professional apparatus intended for use as described above is also covered unless falling specifically within the scope of other standards. This standard concerns only safety aspects of the above apparatus; it does not concern other matters such as style or performance. This standard applies to the above mentioned apparatus, if designed to be connected to the Telecommunication Network or similar network, for example by means of an integrated modem. It provides a framework for: employers to identify, select and evaluate the services they need for management of stress from the perspective of building resilience in the workforce; and the service provider to demonstrate competence. This PAS is intended for use by persons responsible for implementing, delivering and managing stress awareness and wellness and resilience building programmes in the workplace. This includes both employers and service providers. It is also intended for use by service providers implementing training, health and safety officers, human resource managers and specialists, occupational health managers and specialists, employee assistance providers and employee representatives. Noise measurements This international standard specifies methods for measuring and reporting the noise versus signal level and dynamic range of digital still cameras. It applies to both monochrome and colour electronic digital still cameras. This document applies to safety cables that are used as protection against falling objects within the meaning of 1/GUV-V BGV C C 1. The safety cable is also known as a "second suspension" according to DIN VDE (VDE ). The potential fall distance must not be greater than 0.2 m. Safety cables are used in special events and shows in theaters, multipurpose halls, movie theaters, schools, music halls, cabarets, bars and nightclubs, and film, radio, and television studios. The safety cable is not to be used as a sling for general hoisting operations. In Appendix A the fall distance is discussed. Appendix B explains why chains are not acceptable in this draft. In Appendix C, two examples are given. In Appendix D, the test procedure is described. BSR N x, Radiation Safety for the Design of Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Industrial X-Ray Equipment (new standard) This standard provides guidelines specific to the radiation safety aspects of the design of non-medical x-ray equipment operating at energies below 1 MeV for radiographic and radioscopic applications, wherein the x- rays are generated by electronic means. It does not apply to x-ray equipment used for industrial gauging applications. The objective is to achieve safe design of non-medical x-ray equipment by establishing Volume 16, Number 10 Page 7

8 requirements for some components that are critical for radiation safety. These include controls, panel displays, warning indicators, tube assembly, and shielding. Other considerations, which are generally the responsibility of the manufacturer, are also included. These include instructions, provisions for means of connecting interlocks, and labeling.
