Size: 3.81 x 2.92 x mm x 74.2mm x 26mm Weight: 4.7oz / 133g The Personal Alarm Device (PAD) is worn by the pedestrian and contains sensing elements that detect the magnetic field from the generator and initiates warnings for the pedestrian and vehicle operator. The PAD is calibrated to differentiate the magnetic field into two zones: a Warning Zone (Yellow) and a Danger Zone (Red). As shown, the magnetic fields from the generator (zones) are oval in shape and the PAD senses the field without obstruction. The PAD will sense the magnetic field from the generator, determine the threat level (Warning or Danger), confirm the signal, alert the generator of the warning, and turn on its own alarms (audible and visual). When a pedestrian is in the Warning Zone, the LED light and the sounder will give an alarm in a series of 3 beeps. At the Danger Zone, the pedestrian will receive a continuous alarm from the sounder and LED. HN-PAD.. Order Code 3

The sounder registers at a minimum of 100 db when placed within 4 inches of the ear. Just like the PAD, the XL Personal Alarm Device (XL-PAD) is worn by the pedestrian and contains sensing elements that detect the magnetic field from the generator and initiates warnings for the pedestrian and vehicle operator. The XL-PAD is calibrated to differentiate the magnetic field into two zones: a Warning Zone (Yellow) and a Danger Zone (Red) closest to the vehicle. The XL-PAD will sense the magnetic field from the generator, determine the threat level (Warning or Danger), confirm the signal, alert the generator of the warning, and turn on its own alarms (audible and visual). When a pedestrian is in the Warning Zone, the LED light and the sounder will give an alarm in a series of 3 beeps. At the Danger Zone, the pedestrian will receive a continuous alarm from the sounder and LED. HN-PAD-XL Order Code 4

Additional Warning Module with Light/Sound may be purchased. It provides the driver with a audible and visual warning of a pedestrian while driving the equipment backwards. The sound is rated for 103dB. The Warning Module daisy chains directly in the Warning Module with Light and Sound which is included with the MFG System. The Warning Module-Light Only provides the driver with a visual warning of a pedestrian while driving the equipment backwards. The Light only Warning Module connects directly in the Warning Module with Light and Sound which is included with the MFG System. HN-WM-LS.Order Code HN-WM-LO Order Code The Micro-Switch is connected to the emergency brake to cut the power to the HIT-NOT system. When a pedestrian approaches a truck, the warnings on the PAD and Generator will sound. Pulling up the emergency brake will cut the warning to the driver and the pedestrian while the brake is on. Releasing the brake will engage the HIT-NOT system again. Consult your dealer for the micro-switch best suited for your motorized equipment and pricing. 8
The Collision Avoidance Module (CAM) is an Add-on component to the Magnetic Field Generator or XL Generator. It alerts the driver of the other truck that the CAM is near. The CAM functions like a PAD in that it senses the magnetic fields from a generator, determines the close proximity of another truck, and sends the alarm to the other truck. It requires a generator to function and keeps trucks from colliding into one another. It also is a required component for the MAC-A. The CAM senses the magnetic field of the MAC and triggers an alarm to those working under the MAC of the truck s presence in the MAC area. HN-CAM. Order Code (Requires a Generator or XL Generator to function) 9
The MAC-A system requires the truck entering the area to have a generator system complete with CAM and the workers to wear a PAD. The MAC-A generates an adjustable magnetic field suspended approx. 11ft above the designated area, up to 30ft wide, and can extend up to 160 in length. The CAM on the truck senses the magnetic field from the MAC to activate lights, horns, etc. When all workers wearing PADs are out of the magnetic field of the MAC-A, the truck will then enter the area to complete the assigned task. If a worker wearing a PAD goes into the field of the MAC while a truck is in the same field, the facility lights will flash to alert those around the MAC and the facility of the potential danger. The purpose of the MAC-A is to separate pedestrians and equipment from occupying the controlled area at the same time. **Areas extending over 160 will need to purchase additional MACs. Sample light lets the driver know if the area is clear. Workers in the MAC area must wear a PAD. HN-MAC-A.. Order Code (Includes MAC Controller, 2 relay boxes, MAC system up to 160ft of conduit and wire. Lights not included) 10
The dimensions of the Area Monitor are 14 x 8 x 7 The MAC-AM (Area Monitor) can be used as a stand alone or in conjunction with the MAC-A. The Area Monitor senses the generator on the truck as it approaches, and turns on a light, sounds a horn, etc. in a designated area. The purpose is to alert workers of an approaching truck and is ideal for intersections and pedestrian areas with blind corners. The length of the area around the monitor can be easily adjusted by taking off the top cover and slightly turning the pot with a 3/32 slotted screwdriver. HN-AM Order Code (Includes Area Monitor, 1 Relay box, and 50ft of 18/2 Thermostat wire. Lights not included) 11
The Structure Monitor can be used as a stand alone device when a solar panel is added or connected to 110Vdc. The Structure Monitor senses the generator on the truck as it approaches and sends a warning back to the truck. The purpose is to alert driver of their truck approaching a structure to protect that structure from damage. It is ideal for those permanent structures which are in constant repair and/or expensive to replace. The length of the area around the monitor can be easily adjusted by taking off the top cover and slightly turning the pot with a 3/32 slotted screwdriver. Magnetic Field Generator Structure Monitor The dimensions of the Structure Monitor are 12 x 8 x 4 HN-SM Order Code (Solar Panel, Controller Box, and Mounting Plate are priced separately) 12
The Access Monitor will allow a facility to detect PAD access into controlled areas, prevent loss of a PAD as a detection tool and/or enable gates or doors to open. The Access Monitor will sense the presence of a PAD and send a command to a relay box and fixture with an on/off mechanism. The purpose of the Access Monitor is to assist the facility in maintaining a controlled area by granting access to only those wearing a PAD. It can also serve to remind an employee to ensure a daily charge of the PAD and not accidentally remove it from the facility. PAD triggers the lock on the door to gain access. Alarm is sounded to remind the employee to take off PAD. HN-ACCESS Order Code (Comes with Access Monitor, Power Cable, Warning Module, and Relay) 13
The Check Out System consists of a Check Out Station Box, Computer and Monitor. The System operates in 3 modes: PCS-PAD Check Out System, PEM-PAD Exit Monitor, and PLS-PAD Logging System. PCS Mode allows the battery voltage, zone alerts, and ID number to be checked. PEM Mode will detect and record date, time, and PAD ID # when a PAD comes in the Check Out System area. PLS Mode registers the presence of a PAD where an employee can type in their ID (name or number) PCS PEM PLS HN-COS Order Code (Comes with Check Out Station, Cables, Computer, and Monitor) 14
The dimensions of the Room Silent Zone are 12 x 8 x 4 The Room Silent Zone or Jammer provides an area where the PADs will not alarm even with a truck equipped with a generator is nearby. Areas needing a Room Silent Zone include office(s), conference rooms, workrooms, and/or cafeteria located next to a truck path. Since the magnetic field penetrates walls and other obstructions, workers wearing the PADs will alarm unless a Room Silent Zone is present. The silent field is oval-shaped and can be easily adjusted to fit within the confines of the room by removing the top cover and turning the PWM pot. The Jammer is used as an alternative to the Room Silent Zone when the EMI noise is too high. The radius of the field (major axis) for the Room Silent Zone and the Jammer is from 6ft up to 28ft. Major Minor Room Silent Zone Major- 8ft to 22ft Minor- 6ft to 18ft Lift Truck Drive Lane Office Jammer Major- 8ft to 28ft Minor- 6ft to 22ft Silent Zone Field Room Silent Zone HN-RMSZ.. Order Code HN-JAM Order Code 15
Overhead View of MAC-Z Equidistant MAC-Z Field The MAC-Z system Personal Alarm Devices (PADs) not to sound while the Pedestrian is in a protected area. The MAC-Z generates an adjustable magnetic field suspended approx. 11ft above the designated area, up to 30ft wide, and can extend up to 160 in length. When all workers wearing PADs are in the magnetic field of the MAC-Z, a truck can enter the area to complete an assigned task and not have the alarm go off. Examples of areas that are perfect for the MAC-Z are protected walkways and a row of offices next to the drive path of the truck. The purpose of the MAC-Z is to allow pedestrians and equipment to be in proximity without the alarms sounding as long as the worker/pedestrian is in a protected area. **Areas extending over 160 will need to purchase additional MAC-Zs.
