5 DVELAS started as a creative reaction to reuse the huge quantity of material thrown away by the sailing industry. Material, which is not apt for sailing but which possesses excellent qualities in terms of durability and resistance. The models in the collection reclaim the sculptural form of the sail and they use as inspiration, the rigging techniques, technology and the making of the professional sailing makers. Dvelas avoids using the material as a lining or upholstery, on the contrary, the idea is that the material stays in tension, working the same way as when it was used for sailing, giving back this way its dignity even though the sail has been taken into parts. Each sail is used to produce a limited series of products, all of them are tagged with an inscription that provides information regarding the sail s origins, the port it comes from, the ship, the type o sail, the original manufacturer and its numbering edition. 6 INDOORS Furniture company founded by Arquitectura-G studio as a result of their interest in small-scale architectural projects. Indoors sells household items with distinguished quality and recognisable features. In Indoors we believe in well-executed objects, whoose design doesn t give just functional solutions to specific needs, but contributes to the personality of the environment where they are placed. The catalogue is constituted by two types of products: on one hand, re-editions of discontinued objects that fit our philosophy, on the other, our own commissions that we assign to designers that we want to work with. The common issue is the desire to achieve genuine objects that do not leave indifference. 16 DELICA was created in Bera (Navarra ) in 2005 as a company designing products for contemporary homes. The project began with the Delica line of trays, designed by Zoocreative, which was awarded the Delta de Oro in the 2005 Delta ADI FAD Awards, the Design Plus Award at the 2006 Frankfurt trade fair and the 2007 Red Dot Design Award. It continues with the Ameba collection and the Lorea fruit basket, also by Zoocreative. 23 GANDIABLASCO was born in Ontinyent (Valencia) in It started with the production and manufacture of blankets, an activity that continued for 40 years with considerable success. With the arrival of José A. Gandía-Blasco to the company, the activity began to diversify. In the early 1990s, the company started with the production of other textile products, such as carpets and bedspreads. With the help of Marisa Gallén and Sandra Figuerola, designers, the image of the make was reshaped and the first products with a strong design component were launched. During the years to follow, the brand settled in the textile market due to the exclusiveness and innovation of the products. The success of the carpets was followed by the commercialisation of sheets, duvet covers, bedspreads, cushions, etc. In 1996, GANDIABLASCO launched the first outdoor furniture collection, designed by the architect Ramón Esteve with the participation of José A. Gandía-Blasco himself. It is the collection Na Xemena, which continues to be the icon of the company. The gap in the outdoor furniture market eventually took the company to focus their central activity on this branch. In 1999, as the company became the property of José A. Each and every LZF LAMP is based on the spectacular e ect of light shining through a translucent skin of wood. The company uses only TimberliteTM, treated veneers sourced from FSC forests in the eastern United States. As a di usion material it is without peer, producing a warm even glow that seems to capture the very essence of light itself. Every LZF lamp is designed in-house and assembled by hand at LZF s factory; an old stone winery in the little village of Chiva on the outskirts of Valencia. Because of the human element and the use of natural wood, every piece is unique; a rare commodity in a world of mass-produced ubiquity.
