Everyone has different needs, and some requirements are so specific that they can only be satisfied by tailoring our product, in effect creating unique products, designed to our customers individual specification. An Akula Living Case Study. Akula Living was approached in the spring of 2015 to create a lounge chair that would be able to sit in a pool, day in and day out, and maintain the 5 year warranty.

3 An Akula Living Case Study. Akula Living was approached in the spring of 2015 to create a lounge chair that would be able to sit in a pool, day in and day out, and maintain the 5 year warranty. What Akula initially received was the client s drawing of the vision of what the lounge chair would look like. Akula took the image and proceeded with it by working with the designer to manage all details, making sure they received exactly what they wanted. This is the process that the project underwent. 4 Client s concept drawing/image This is where the process commenced and what our factory began to work with. Our team of in-house designers and engineers ensured all the required details and mesurements were incorporated, to achieve the desired end aesthetic, whilst ensuring that the product was technically sound in order to receive the Akula 5 Year Warranty. 5 Akula s resulting shop drawing In the client s initial drawing, it was noted that they would prefer not to have the legs that are shown towards the very front of the chair, thereby leaving a total of four legs on the chair. After assessment and research at the factory, it was determined that the front legs were indeed needed to provide the support required for the seat depth and for the product longevity, as well providing the necessary additional weighting to ensure the chair did not float away! 7 Product Testing All Akula Custom products are rigorously tested to ensure they are fit for purpose and qualify for our industry leading 5 Year Warranty.
