Traditional methods would have preferred the use of large wattage Metal Halide indirect fixtures to illuminate the ceilings and create soft ambient levels of lighting in the lower public space. With modern energy codes pushing designs to acceptable watts per square foot levels, we have seen a dramatic shift in lighting design philosophy. Direct illumination of spaces became the necessity and we sacrificed the visual comfort of space for the energy design. Indirect lighting became an unaffordable luxury. Even with all the rapid advances in LED technology, we have not been able to replace the performance of these traditional sources. This challenge remained until now. Insight introduces the DecoLED collection of high performance indirect LED fixtures. Offered in two shapes, three sizes and three high performance lumen packages.
