Please note: any volunteer/in-kind donations must be tracked and documented in the final project report. We currently work with a large local accounting firm, PWC, and their 'Green Team'. This team has participated in our plantings (25 people) and tree monitoring (8 people). We also work with Communities of Hope, this group has helped us plant trees in the past and want to be involved in long term urban forestry in Harrisburg volunteers would be helpful for this project. 14. Erik Josephson -, Scott Pace -city employee, Robert Ferretti - city employee, Todd Herbster -city employee 15. Marc Lanza - new hire - Landscape Tech I - city employee 16. Please describe how, if appropriate, the planting plan fits into a larger community/organization-wide green infrastructure plan. This project is going to focus on planting trees in multiple communities around Harrisburg. Trees will be new to 19th and Forster Playground whereas trees will continue to create age and species diversity in Riverfront Park. As we plant and attempt to gain and gauge interest in different communities in Harrisburg, our goal to create awareness and appreciation for trees throughout Harrisburg as a whole. example of approved application 17. Incorporating young folks in urban and community forestry is an essential component to TreeVitalize's mission. Please provide information related to the applicant in general and the proposed planting plan related to the following: Will this project engage youth in any capacity? Will this project create and/or sustain a new or ongoing partnership with youth-focused organizations? Our last tree planting involved a class from St. Stephan's Episcopal School. We are doing a fall tree planting with Londonderry School. As we have no formal agreement for a planting with a school group in the spring, our multiple locations allow for a greater chance to incorporate youth into involvement of this project. Page 5 of9
