4 W55 Introduction The W55 range of parallel circuit self regulating heating cables is the perfect solution for hot water temperature maintenance of pipes installed in offices, hotels, sports centres, domestic dwellings etc. Our range of heaters provide instant hot water from every tap or shower unit when installed on a non-circulating installation. Heaters regulate their power output to compensate for the variation in water and ambient air temperatures. Our heaters eliminate the need for designing complex re-circulating systems with pumps, valves and return pipes, thereby providing low installation costs. The temperature in the pipes are maintained by varying the thickness of the thermal insulation in line with the pipe diameters. Insulation thicknesses are based on those commercially available in order to maintain the minimum temperatures stated in an ambient of 18 C. For exact temperature control a temperature control device may be required. 6 FTH 50 FTH 30 Introduction Our FTH 30/50 series of heaters shows an excellent capability to maintain medium process temperatures of pipework and vessels. Temperatures up to 65 C are maintained with a maximum exposure temperature of 110 C. All heaters have a metalic braid and a modified polyolefin outer jacket and are available in 230 V and 110v on request. All heaters are parallel circuit and can be cut and terminated on site to suit the required application. Refer to our heaters schedule on page 8 to detemine the correct heaters product. Incorporting our range of IP67 pipe sensing thermostats, accurate protection and control of process pipework is achieved.
