5 Specifications for MyFST 16.0 Plus Wastewater Treatment System 1. GENERL The contractor shall furnish and install (1) MyFST 16.0 Plus treatment system as manufactured by Bio-Microbics, Inc. The treatment system shall be complete with all equipment as shown on the drawings and specified herein. The principal items of equipment shall include sixteen (16) FST interconnecting inserts with leg attachments, biosolids collection manifold, sixteen (16) SaniTEE screens, four (4)blower assemblies, and control panel. The MyFST 16.0 Plus unit shall be situated within a gallon (606 m3) minimum tank, as shown on the plans. Settling tank(s) equaling ½ to 1 x daily flow must be used prior to MyFST. Tank(s) must conform to local, state, and all other applicable codes. The contractor shall provide coordination between the MyFST system and tank designer (supplier) with regard to fabrication of the tank, interconnecting piping, wiring, and similar items, installation of the MyFST unit and delivery to the job site. The optional Biosolids Management System shall include a biosolids wasting pump and biosolids decant pump with jib crane, two (2)LIXOR 4.0s with blower assemblies. ll tanks supplied by others. 2. OPERTING CONDITIONS The MyFST 16.0 PLUS treatment system shall be capable of treating the wastewater produced by typical family activities (bath, laundry, kitchen, etc.) ranging from four hundred (400)to two thousand four hundred (2 400) persons and not to exceed US Gallons per day(606 m3/d). 3. MEDI The MyFST media shall be manufactured of rigid PVC, polyethylene, or polypropylene and it shall be supported by the polyethylene insert. The media shall be fixed in position and contain no moving or wearing parts and shall not corrode. The media shall be designed and installed to ensure that sloughed solids descend through the media to the bottom of the tank. 4. BIOSOLIDS COLLECTION MNIFOLD biosolids collection manifold will be provided which will be located below the MyFST The biosolids collection manifold will consist of (6) six PVC lateral pipes that are equally spaced under the MyFST 16.0 with orifices specifically designed to remove biosolids from the MyFST zone. The 6 laterals will be connected into a PVC pipe header that will provide a single 10 inch discharge into the tank s Biosolids Pump Pit. 5. BLOWER The MyFST 16.0 PLUS unit shall come equipped with four blowers capable of delivering to 2 00 CFM [ m3/hr]. The blower assembly shall include an inlet filter with metal filter element. 6. REMOTE MOUNTED BLOWER The blowers shall be mounted outside the tank adjacent to the MyFST zone on a contractor supplied concrete base. The blower elevation must be higher than the water level in the tank and above any normal flood level. two-piece, rectangular housing shall be provided with tamper-proof screws. The 4 inch (100 mm) steel discharge air line and connections from the blower to the two (2) MyFST 4 inch (50 mm) air headers which shall be provided and installed by the contractor. 7. ELECTRICL/CENTRL CONTROL PNEL ll wiring must conform to code and provide the specified power to the blowers. Input power on 60 Hz electrical system is 230/415 VC, three phase, 372/193. mps. Input power on 50 Hz electrical systems 220/30VC, three phase, 353.4/216.6 mps. ll conduit and wiring shall be supplied by contractor. The control panel shall utilize a motor starter, overload, and be housed in a NEM 4 X enclosure. The control panel shall consist of a visual and audible alarm to indicate loss of power to the blower. manual silence switch is included.. OPTIONL BIOSOLIDS MNGEMENT SYSTEM OPTIONL BIOSOLIDS WSTING PUMP biosolids wasting pumps are located in the biosolids pump pit will be included with the optional biosolids management system. These pumps shall be capable of pumping 00 to 1200 gpm [3030 to 4540 Lpm] at 20 feet [6m] total dynamic head to the biosolids storage zone. The biosolids wasting pump will require a power supply from the panel to the pump. field adjustable event timer will control the duration of the wasting time and the frequency of wasting on an event timer. 6 Specifications for MyFST 16.0 Plus Wastewater Treatment System. OPTIONL BIOSOLIDS MNGEMENT SYSTEM CONTINUED. OPTIONL DECNT PUMP ND JIB CRNE decant pump will be included to pump the supernatant from the biosolids storage ZONE into the MyFST aeration zone. The submersible decant pump shall be capable of pumping 200 to 250 gpm[ Lpm] at 20 feet [6m] of total dynamic head to the MyFST aeration zone. The contractor is responsible for supplying power to the pump. The decant pump will be controlled by a manual start/stop controller. Two (2) jib cranes will be provided for decant pump intake height adjustments to remove the supernatant from the biosolids storage zone. The jib crane will be designed to handle a lifting capacity of 500 Lbs. and a lifting range of 160 inches [305cm]. 9. GENERL INSTLLTION INSTRUCTIONS ll work must be done in accordance with local codes and regulations. Installation of the MyFST 16.0 Plus shall be done in accordance with the written instructions provided by the manufacturer. n operation and maintenance manual shall be furnished which will include a description of system installation, operation, and maintenance procedures. Each FST interconnecting insert weighs approximately 1300 pounds [590kg]. Four holes for lifting each FST interconnecting insert are supplied. Spreader bars are to be used in lifting the inserts. Place spreader bars between lifting holes. For details refer to the Installation Manual. 10. FLOW & PIPE SIZING The MyFST 16.0 Plus has eight () six (6) inch discharge ports. Each of the six (6) discharge ports are provided with a standard six (6) inch effluent gasket. The maximum free or unrestricted flow with the two (2) each six (6) inch effluent pipes is 250 U.S. GPM (945 LPM) with a 2.0 design safety factor. MyFST systems have been successfully designed, tested and certified receiving gravity, demand-based influent flow. When influent flow is controlled by pump or other means to help with highly variable flow conditions, then multiple dosing events should be used to maximize performance. 11. WRRNTY Bio-Microbics, Inc. warrants all new MyFST Plus models (MyFST Plus 4.0,.0, and 16.0) against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year after installation or eighteen (1 months) from the date of shipment whichever occurs first, subject to the following terms and conditions: During the warranty period, if any part is defective or fails to perform as specified when operating at design conditions, and if the equipment has been installed and is being operated and maintained in accordance with the written instructions provided by Bio-Microbics, Inc., Bio-Microbics, Inc. will repair or replace at its discretion such defective parts free of charge. Defective parts must be returned by owner to Bio-Microbics, Inc. s factory postage paid, if so requested. The cost of labor and all other expenses resulting from replacement of the defective parts and from installation of parts furnished under this warranty and regular maintenance items such as filters or bus shall be borne by the owner. This warranty does not cover general system misuse, aerator components which have been damaged by flooding or any components that have been disassembled by unauthorized persons, improperly installed or damaged due to altered or improper wiring or overload protection. This warranty applies only to the treatment plant and does not include any of the structure wiring, plumbing, drainage, septic tank or disposal system. Bio-Microbics, Inc. is reserves the right to revise, change or modify the construction and/or design of the MyFST system, or any component part or parts thereof, without incurring any obligation to make such changes or modifications in present equipment. Bio-Microbics, Inc. is not responsible for consequential or incidental damages of any nature resulting from such things as, but not limited to, defect in design, material, or workmanship, or delays in delivery, replacements or repairs.
