1 Wednesday, February 23, 2011 Pade 1 of 6 ULTRASONIC CLEANER "PETTINET 240" ON and OFF loom weaving reed cleaner ( maximum reed length 2300mm) DESCRIPTION The machine is suitable to clean flat and airjet reeds on and off loom. The machine is very simple to use and easy to handle, since equipped with wheels for movement The cleaning liquids are stored in two autonomous tanks Equipped with pumps which fills automatically the washing tanks The washing tanks can be emptied and the cleaning liquid will return in the tanks for re use. No need of water connection so it can be transfered easely to each loom Can wash until 3 reeds in 1 washing process within 15 minutes A systematic use of this machine will increase the lifetime of the reeds and the loom efficency Airjet reed pressure will remain stable and not be affected from dirt or sizing materials REQUIRED FACILITIES FOR MACHINE OPERATION 230 V / 50Hz three socket outlet (other voltages are wired on demand) compressed air connection pressure not less than 2 atm for drying air. CONSTRUCTION The tanks are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and welded in a controlled Argon atmosphere. The outside of the tank is accomplished of steel plate with acid resistant painted finish ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL The electrical control panel is built with to CEI IEC standards and consists of: main switch ultrasounds time switch rechargeable temperature controller ultrasounds tank pump circuit breakers rinsing pump circuit breakers

3 Wednesday, February 23, 2011 Pade 3 of 6 WORKING CYCLE Connect the machine to the compressed air mains and to the power mains using the specific machine connections. Fill the tank by the pump control pushbuttons on the control panel. Release the reed and slide it into tank taking care to not immerse the yarn at the top of the reed. Immerse the bottom and central parts of the reed which are the parts requiring washing. Washing time may change from 10 to 15 minutes approximately. When the washing cycle has been completed, lift the reed out of the liquid and allow it to drip into the tank below for 2 3 minutes. The reed should be placed in the most suitable position for freely dripping of liquid. Introduce the reed into the rinsing tank at the side; the reed is rinsed using pumped liquid. The liquid will fall into the beneath tank and return to the tank connected to the pump and equipped with a filter. This operation takes about 5 minutes. After this time, blow the reed with compressed air from the drying pistol. When the reed will appear washed, rinsed and dried, in the most difficult and inaccessible areas too, is ready for being refitted on the loom.
