Dakota Valley Recycling (DVR) is the shared municipal department for the cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan and Lakeville. The DVR cities are dedicated to preserving their natural resources for current and future residents. Clean air, clean water and sustainable land resources are all necessary for maintaining a healthy community. DVR helps its cities achieve these goals by administering programs and providing education to residents and businesses. event event education

3 1,2,3 haulers All haulers provide weekly garbage collection and must provide service at least every other week. The table below shows the licensed haulers in each city, and whether they offer collection weekly or every other week. Hauler Number Apple Valley Burnsville Eagan Lakeville Advanced Disposal 1. set up service All residents that live in a single family home or duplex that is not part of an association can call a local hauler to set up service. The cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan and Lakeville have open collection for their trash and services. This means the cities license several companies to collect garbage and. It is up to the residents to choose from any of the licensed haulers on the next page to set up hauling service. 2. check the list On pages 5 & 6 there is a comprehensive list of what you can and cannot recycle in your home. Recycables can be stored in your home under a counter, next to your garbage, or wherever works best for you. 3. Put it in the bin After you set up your service, find out what day your hauler picks up at your home and place recyclables in the provided bin (either loose or in paper bags) the night before pick up. Please do not use plastic bags. Tips to Recycle Like a Pro > Empty out bottles, jars and containers no need to wash them. > Leave staples in papers and plastic in window envelopes. > Leave labels on cans and caps on containers.
