1 CONFRONTING THE CHALLENGES! Everyday, Peel residents are actively recycling, composting and reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. Thanks to your efforts, we re diverting more than 45 per cent of Peel s waste from disposal. That s great news! Together, we re making a difference. But there s more to do. Regional staff and Councillors are aggressively working to identify, evaluate, plan and implement innovative solutions to enhance our waste reduction initiatives. To reach our 70 per cent waste diversion target, we ll need your continued support and participation in our existing and future programs and services. Emil Kolb, Chair, Region of Peel Maja Prentice, Chair, Public Works Committee Three Bag Standard Program Peel households may place up to three garbage bags, containers or small bundles of wood at the curb each week for collection.
