Dear reader, With this newsletter I wish to bring to your attention the latest news about our GOMAX division. News such as the report about our participation as an exhibitor at Chillventa 2010, which took place last October in Nuremberg. This traditional event was again a success. Chillventa is a famous event where we could present the solutions we provide to professionals of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. This event is for the operators of the industry an important meeting place where they can send and receive new ideas and suggestions to improve their own offering, and in this respect the GOMAX stand, once again, represented for the many visitors a valued catalyst for ideas. Ideas, like those already collected in the past and today become part of our product range, such as the appreciated QUADRA Crimp, recently redesigned which has been updated with a useful operation pneumatic pedal, able to make the crimping operation easier. Also completely renovated is the manual crimper for QUADRA DN2, popular workhorse of the range GOMAX and now even easier to use, identified by the new part number RXA007. The spread of the Internet as a business tool allows us to exploit new communication tools, such as our YouTube Channel, through which we broadcast effective training videos about our QUADRA products. Furthermore, I take this opportunity to share with you our decision to continue to invest in the geographical growth of our products. After the positive developments in the Middle East and Asia, we now want to focus our efforts on strengthening our position in Russia. 2 NEW CRIMPING PLIERS RXA007 FOR GOMAX QUADRA DN2 notizia.aspx?idp=86 Words: 280 Reading time: 1 min COLORNO, Italy - December, The QUADRA DN2 thermoplastic capillary hose system, which is designed to substitute difficult to handle copper piping, is constantly improved in order to reach the highest quality level. The success of the GOMAX brand and Transfer Oil is the research of premium quality components. One of this largely used component are the manual pliers, specially designed to crimp the QUADRA DN2 assemblies to the exact crimping diameter. With this news we are now introducing a new version of these pliers (new part number will be RXA007), which will substitute the old version (part number RXA003). Main new features of the improved pliers are: Stronger head, offering a better crimp. Wider die opening for better access. Redesigned ratchet release in order to avoid accidental release of the pliers. Handle length Increased by 10% without modifying the total length of the tool. Increasing the length of the handle means less force needed to perform the crimping due to the better leverage. New high friction inlay so that the tool can be pushed against hard surfaces in case of problem during the crimping operation. Although this new feature is very handy, we recommend to cut the hose right next to the ferrule and repeat the crimping operation in case the crimping operation has not been performed properly. In case of doubt, please refer to the crimping diameters specified (must be 7mm ± 0,1). Broader shaped handle to spread load across palm. This will reduce the pressure on the hand. UPDATING THE AIR-HYDRAULIC CRIMPING UNIT QUADRA CRIMP notizia.aspx?idp=80 Words: 282 Reading time: 1 min COLORNO, Italy - September 1, Presented to the market during the last edition of Chillventa 2008, it has found much success, the proof of this success being the supply of units worldwide. This is not a simple aesthetic revision of the machine, but an actual redesign work by adding a useful option, a foot pedal control to activate the pneumatic press, and then to have the free use of both hands during the crimping. The heart of the machine has been completely redesigned, providing a central control unit for greater accuracy during the crimping operation and immediate release of the dies when exact crimping diameter has been achieved. We did not change positive characteristics widely recognized as the 360 rotating head, the functioning simply using compressed air and the dies held in the castle through magnets. The most important updates are: Dies completely redesigned for a better crimping. It has also been added on each die a marking (Q2, Q4, Q6) to better distinguish the set of dies to be used for the capillaries QUADRA DN2-DN4 or DN6 Inspection plug with oil level dipstick control MIN MAX Quick couplers for a better connection to compressed air inlet and the foot pedal (optional) Possibility to have an optional foot pedal to activate the press. The pedal assembly is very simple, just removing the caps supplied to the press and linking the numbered ends fot the three pneumatic hoses to the corresponding pneumatic inlets. The new press is available in two versions. The sole press tool that keeps the RXA006 part number, or press tool + foot pedal with the part number RXA008. If you are interested in buying the foot pedal separately, even after the purchasing of the press, it is possible. The part number of the foot pedal accessory is RXB008. Note: The optional foot pedal can be installed only on the new version of the press unit, being provided with a central internal control, missing in the old version of the press. 3

During the exhibition it will be performed a practical demonstration of the operation of our brand new QUADRA CRIMP (part no.rxa008-rxa006). During each live event, hose assemblies will be crimped on the spot and assembled to a refrigeration unit. Notwithstanding the size of this unit, having three compressors, a large number of pressure switches in series are used and need to receive pressure from bundles of hoses. The routing of this connections is neither straight nor easy, but connecting all ports on the entire unit takes little more than 25 minutes, thanks to the simplification allowed by the QUADRA system, also using a wide variety of fitting connections in DN2, DN4 and DN6 size.
