2 For the motive force of this Fan, we recommend brushless motors with the KV for the maximum performance. The output performance will depend on the motor and battery used with this fan unit. The motor mount housing will fit a motor with the maximum diameter of 29 mm or 400~480. Introduction Thank you for purchasing the AirPower AP-700DF Electric Ducted Fan. As you will see this is an extremely easy to build fan but as it is not a beginner's model, we would suggest some flying experience is required. These instructions are a guide and we assume you have assembled kits before. If you need help please ask an experienced person for advice. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A TOY.. Parts check 1. 3 Installation Step1: Cut off extra stump that you will find in center of Motor Mound. If this piece is not removed completely, it will affect fan installation in future steps. (Picture 1) Step2: We highly recommend before placing motor into its mound, place a temporary sheet of white of white paper around the motor. This will help the motor be place directly in the center of mound. (Picture 2, 3, 4) P.1 Remove extra Stump. P.2 Wrap white sheet of pape around motor several times P.3 Place motor into the tube. Please make sure P.4 Push motor to the end completely there are no gaps Step3: After you place motor into the motortube, adjust motor to make sure that the holes found in the motor mount plate line up. Use the M3 screws with washers to secure the motor to the plate. Make sure to evely tighten the screws. Screws, washers and tools are provided to you free in your assembly kit. (Picture 5, 6) P.5 Line up the motor screw holes with those P.6 Evenly tightened both screws. in the motor tube. Step X: Remove temporary white paper you placed in step 2, after screw tightening. 3

4 Step4: Fan installation 1 (Caution: You must balance fan to help increase life of the motor, and also will increase output efficiency) We also recommend fans be sanded, trimmed, and balanced. With out this step the fan blade may rub against the duct. (Picture 7, 8) P.7 Sand and trim fan blade. P.8 We recommend using a balancer to balance fan unit. Step5: Fan installation 2 (Caution do not apply to much force when tightening nut and fan blade, make sure hand is placed in right position to avoid finger injury or damage of fan blade) (Picture 12) P.9 Place shaft into motor. P.10 Place fan blade into shaft. P.11 Place washer followed by nut P.12 Tightened nut (Caution do not apply) to much force when tightening nut and fan blade, make sure hand is placed in right position to avoid finger injury or damage of fan blade. Please pay attention to hand position to avoid hand injury. 4

5 Step6: Place nose cone into the motor shaft. Tighten by using a coin. (Picture 13, 14) P.13 Place nose cone into motor shaft P.14 Tighten with a coin. Step7: Trim edge of duct for accurate fit into intake. If necessary you may use glue to afix duct to intake ring. (Picture 15, 16) P.15 Trim edge of duct for accurate fit.
