The TASC Pendant is available in a single or double arm configuration and with or without vertical movement. The pendant arm has rotation at the ceiling, at the elbow of the upper and lower arm, and at the pendant head. The medical gas and electrical systems are complete for single point connection to each gas service and electrical circuit at the mounting platform. The mounting platform shall be designed to support the arm and the optional equipment carrier. The platform shall include 6" long pigtails, with gas specific DISS connections for mistake-free installation. The support platform will also include an electrical junction box. The arm length of the TASC 2401 is 39.4" (1000 mm) from the center point of the ceiling tube to the pendant head. The arm length of the TASC 2402 is 39.4"(1000 mm) for the upper arm and 39.4" (1000 mm) for the lower arm. The arm length of the TASC 2831 is 35.4" (900 mm) from the center point of the ceiling tube to the pendant head. The arm length of the TASC 2832 is 39.4" (1000 mm) for the upper arm and 35.4" (900 mm) for the lower arm. ach pivoting point of the arm has permanentlylubricated rotating bearing and adjustable stops for controlling the degree of rotation. ach pivoting point has the capability of up to 330 lateral rotation. The electrical motor system shall control the up and down vertical deflection of the pendant head through 23.6" (600 mm) of travel. The power requirements for the motor shall be 115 volt/1 phase/60 hertz. The pendant head shall be designed for a maximum of 10 medical gas outlets (quick connect or DISS), and any combination of 10 electrical outlets, grounding jacks, or monitoring receptacles. The pendant head will remain in its working position at all points along the 330º arc of travel and in any vertical position, even with an electrical supply failure. All medical gas outlets (quick connect and DISS) are color-coded and labeled for quick identification. An equipment carrier can be attached to the pendant head to position shelves for monitors and other surgical or critical care equipment. The shelves can be equipped with drawers, brackets, and rail systems. The carrier improves space management by locating equipment from the floor to the pendant.

The ceiling mounting platform is equipped with the necessary medical gas pigtails to allow the contractor to connect to the piping system. 2. The mounting platform is available for delivery prior to the shipment of the complete Pendant. Once the mounting platform is installed the ceiling can be completed. 3. The Pendant is mounted directly to the mounting platform.

6 ORDRIN INFORMARION Chemetron Ceiling Pendents are manufactured to customer specifications. The following steps must be completed prior to the manufacture of the ceiling column. Step 1 Indicate the style of pendent. Style TASC 2401 TASC 2402 TASC 2831 TASC 2832 Step 2 Indicate the ceiling height of the room in which the ceiling column will be located. The ceiling column is designed for heights of 8 6 to Ceiling heights less than 8 6 will require sub-mounting. Ceiling Height Step 3 Select standard for medical gas outlets U.S. Style Quantity ISO Style Notes eneral information to remember when selecting the devices in a ceiling column: To ensure proper position of medical gas and electrical outlets, position the as and lectrical ID in the desired location. The gas and electrical outlets must be separated into the left and right side of the pendant head. If 10 medical gas outlets are selected, a maximum of 4 vacuum and evacuation outlets can be installed. Normal and emergency electrical receptacles cannot be located in the same row of outlets. These devices cannot be installed into the same electrical back box. Specify color for electrical duplex outlets (Normal, mergency) Monitor receptacles should be wired under monitor manufacturer s recommendations for proper shielding. Adjacent electrical receptacles will be provided in double or triple configurations with common back box and cover. Adjacent ground receptacles or other adjacent electrical receptacles of the same type will be furnished with common back box and cover plate for installation convenience. Location 8 on the selection table is not available on Models 2831 and This location contains the vertical movement switch. Step 4 Select the style of medical gas outlet installed in the ceiling column. On the selection grid indicate the location of the medical gas and electrical devices required on the pendant. If a location does not require a device a blank plate will be installed. As shown on the grid, medical gas and electrical outlets cannot be located in the same plate, they must be separated.
