A D n,e,w figure reflects testing at every frequency and it is the only result recommended by the BRE for products such as vents. As there is no industry standard for presenting acoustic test results, beware of any manufacturer who quotes an unspecified db figure. An unspecified figure may simply be the highest db achieved at an individual frequency and may not bear any relation to your circumstances or to the type of noise you are aiming to reduce. A new 3" dia. core ventilator specifically designed for low kilowatt stoves and fires. Featuring an internal grille barely bigger than a light switch, this perfectly proportioned set is our most discreet combustion air vent. The grille s front panel may also be painted or wallpapered to blend in with the room s décor for an appearance that s virtually unnoticeable. For maximum comfort the internal grille is in our popular panel design. The venting outlets are hidden from view behind a front plate which allows air to be dispersed evenly, significantly reducing draughts. From -5 C to 60 C. Will the ducting require cutting to length? For best performance pull the flexible ducting as taut as possible during installation and cut away any excess.
