4 How to Install a If you are a do-it-yourself kind of guy or girl, you might probably have an experience in installing all sorts of sinks, whether for the kitchen, for the bathroom or your laundry room. You may also know the benefits of the materials used to make sinks, whether they are stainless steel kitchen sinks or ceramic bathroom sinks. But, how do you install a bathroom glass sink? Most would say very carefully but actually, following these instructions you may surprised on how easy to install these glass sinks are. Step : 1 You need to make a tally of all of the parts and that come in your new glass sink package, specially paying careful detail on the smaller items. So that when you make the final installation your sink works as advertised by the manufacturer. Also, this is a good time to check that your glass basin and any other chrome-plated accessories and items were with not damage (broken, chipped or scratched). Most glass sinks come with very few parts and so installation should be straightforward. However, it is recommended to pay careful attention to smaller items such as washers and rubber seals, as these will play important roles in the overall performance of your sink. If any of these were lost or incorrect installation, you may end up with an imperfect sink. Step : 2 Place your mounting ring over the counter top. The mounting ring is usually made of 3 parts: A decorative chrome-plated ring (the heaviest part of these items) and two rubber seals. A thin small seal that goes into the ridge of the metal ring and the other larger seal that fits inside and covers the top of the decorative ring. INSTRUCTION MANUAL 4

5 Step : 3 Carefully set your glass vessel sink on top of the mounting ring. At this stage a helping hand can be handy as you want to hold your vessel sink away from other surfaces that may cause scratches or even to avoid alignment problems with your countertop that may affect the later installation the pop-up drain. Step : 4 In preparation for the pop-up drain installation, you need to disassemble the unit so that different parts are individually arranged in order to install. To disassemble the pop-up drain properly, unscrew the tail pipe and set aside for later use. Make sure not to scratch these parts. Remove the metal nut and two rubber washers. Leave one rubber seal in the pop-up drain. Step : 5 Install the top part of pop-up drain into the central drain hole of the glass vessel sink. Make sure not to scratch or hit the surface of your vessel with the pop-up drain. INSTRUCTION MANUAL 5

6 Step : 6 Access the bottom sides of your glass sink through your vanity or bathroom countertop and place back the rubber seals that you have removed earlier steps. This will help securing your vessel sink to your pop-up drain tightly. Screw back the metal nut until you have a firm connection. Step : 7 At this point you are left with the P-trap and the tail pipe. To proceed further in the installation please disassemble the P-Trap. This will be achieved by removing the metal nut and the washers off from the side of the p-trap and place it into the tail pipe. Step : 8 With the tail pipe ready, connect it to the drain body that is already connected to the vessel sink. Carefully screw the nut until it become tight enough. INSTRUCTION MANUAL 6

7 Step : 9 Slide a decorative ring on the long pipe of the p- trap. Then slide the metal nut that connects to the wall through the long pipe of the p-trap including all of the necessary rubber washers. Step : 10 With your p-trap fully assembled, connect the long end of the p-trap into the drain exit of the wall and then the front end of the p-trap into the already connected tail pipe of the pop-up drain. Complete this installation by tightly screwing both ends using the metal nut. Tighten the long tube of the p-trap to the wall and thus the installation is complete. INSTRUCTION MANUAL 7
