3 PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION Serial numbers are used to identify your new Ready Rack Hose Washer. These numbers should always be referred to when contacting Ready Rack customer assistance concerning service, parts, or other information you may require. For your convenience and ready reference, enter Series, and Serial numbers below. Please register your new Washer by contacting Model number: HW-10 Series number: Serial number: Your Ready Rack Hose Washer with is designed for single person operation. Long or large hoses may require two people in order to ensure that the hose flows smoothly into the washer, through the wash wheels. Failure to use as designed, may cause the washed hose to bundle inside the cabinet and damage the drive motor, gearing and bearings of your machine. WARRANTY Length of warranty: ONE YEAR FULL WARRANTY FROM DATE OF PURCHASE Ready Rack will pay for: 1. Replacement parts and/or repair labor with prior written authorization to correct defects in materials or workmanship. 2. Replacement parts for the hose wash wheel if defective in materials or workmanship. 3. Replacement parts for the drainage, mechanical failure or if hose cannot go completely through due to a defect. Ready Rack will not pay for: 1. Service calls to: 2. Labor or parts when the hose washer is used other than for intended use. 3. Labor charges for other than normal grid power usage. 4. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, improper installation or installation not in accordance with local electrical and plumbing codes. 5. Any labor costs during the limited warranty. 6. Shipping charges for warranty parts or labor for units operated outside the Continental United States. 7. Pickup and delivery. 8. Repairs to parts or systems caused by unauthorized modifications made to the washer. 3

4 DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS STOP! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING 4 Please inspect the shipment for damage when the product is received. Due to the weight of the hose washer, it is important to have at least two people remove the hose washer from its pallet. Required tools: 9/16 ratchet or socket wrench Electric drill with phillips drive bit or screwdriver Tin snips (or equivalent) to cut banding TO REMOVE HOSE WASHER FROM PALLET: Step 1: Remove the banding straps from the skid and remove the wood blocking and packing material. Step 2: Carefully slide the hose washer from the skid (at least 2 or 3 people are needed for this process). Step 3: Place hose washer in your desired location, insuring that you have proper drainage. USE & CARE FOR SMOOTH OPERATION Remove the back panel to do the following: To keep your hose washer operating properly, we recommend keeping the chain and drive sprockets lubricated often (at least twice annually), using dry-film lubricants or Mobile XHP 222 grease equivalent. To check the hoses and valves for any wear and tear. The frequency of this inspection depends on how often the washer is used. AFTER DAILY OPERATION After you have completed hose washing, we recommend that you rinse the inside of the cabinet by running the hose washer for a few seconds to remove any contaminates from the cabinet. The cabinet is stainless steel, a quick wipe down will keep it corrosion free.

5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU USE YOUR HOSE WASHER: 1. Select a location that will allow for water to flow from the drain hose 2. Connect to water supply 3. Place soap in a dispenser that will hold the draw tubing if a soap source if desired 4. Open the front cover of the washer. FEEDING FIRE HOSE INTO THE HOSE WASHER: 1. Spread drained hose flat on the floor to the left of the washer. Open the washer cover. 2. Insert male hose connector into the hose inlet to the left side of the washer. Adjust the two pegs for the width of the hose so that the hose is centered on the first wash brush. 3. Feed the hose UNDER the first wash brush. Pull the hose OVER the second hose wash brush. Note: Do not run the hose over or around a spray nozzle bar. 4. First, feed hose between the two rubber feed rollers to the right side of the washer. Second, pull the hose through the right side exit of the hose washer by a few inches. Note: For large hose connectors, lift the feed roller handle so the cut-out in handle touches the outer wall. 5. Lock feed roller handle in down position. (Lift out of detent, push handle down, lock in lower detent.) WHILE YOU ARE USING YOUR WASHER: 1. Do not let the hose to become tangled before entering the washer. 2. Soap injection is not required, but it will greatly enhance the 300 psi wash water. 3. DO NOT RUN THE WASHER WITHOUT A WATER SUPPLY (Dry Brushing)! WASHING YOUR FIRE HOSE: 1. Connect to power supply. 2. Turn on water supply. 3. Insert soap injection hose into cleaning solution bucket if desired. 4. Close cover. 5. Open water valve. 6. Turn on power switch. 7. Guide hose from outlet. Note: Severely soiled hoses may need an additional wash. 8. Turn power off as you hear the female coupler move into the cabinet. Note: It is important to stop the drive motor before the female coupler reaches the rubber drive rollers to prevent possible damage to the drive system. 9. Lift the drive roller handle and remove hose. Finish coiling the hose, then remove for drying and storage. 5

6 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Water not flowing from the wash nozzles Reduced water flow from nozzles Water valve closed Water supply problem Booster pump not operating properly Turn off the power switch and open the cover Open the water valve on right side wall by turning it in-line with the inlet pipe Ensure water source is connected to and open Turn on the power switch and observe the water flow If water flow is still at a reduced level Call Ready Rack about Booster Pump troubleshooting Washer rollers will not spin or jump during washing Hose may be pinched or too heavy for the rubber drive rollers to pull through the washer Turn off the power switch Turn off the water valve Open the cover and insure the hose is not pinched inside the washer Turn on water valve Turn on power switch Safely pull hose through washer Drive Motor will not turn on Bad or improper electrical connection Current circuit breaker blown Check and reset electrical current circuit breaker If motor still does not operate properly, contact Ready Rack for drive motor trouble shooting 6
