To assist you in choosing the correct controller below is a summary of our range. All our heater battery controllers have a built in run on timer to dissipate residual heat and come supplied with either a room or a duct temperature sensor/thermostat. ETC RANGE ETC Range: A low cost solution to control 1 step single phase heaters up to 6kW. Temperature setpoint adjustment is at the thermostat. Limited optional extras on this range. ESC Range: Our most popular controller for electric heater batteries. For applications up to 6 steps. Maximum heater load 6kW (1Ph) or 90kW (3Ph). Temperature setpoint adjustment is within the control panel. THY Range: For applications where very accurate control of heating is required or electrical noise is to be kept to a minimum. Temperature setpoint adjustment is on the front of the control panel. DTC Range: The DTC range of controllers have a fascia mounted digital temperature controller/display for applications up to 3 steps. Maximum heater load 12kW (1ph) or 18kW (3Ph). Temperature setpoint adjustment is via the fascia mounted controller/display. 10 7 FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS INVERTER FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS: INV-DCV RANGE Most ventilation systems are designed to supply ventilated air based on assumed, rather than actual occupancy. This often results in over-ventilation, wasting both money and energy. The solution to this is Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) whereby a transmitter (sensor) measures the actual conditions and when used in conjunction with a frequency inverter the ventilation rate is automatically adjusted ensuring the building is ventilated cost effectively. The INV-DCV controls package consists of a frequency inverter and a sensor. 11 FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS 8 AUTO TRANSFORMER FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS: ATC RANGE & ATCTK RANGE A range of auto transformer fan speed controllers for use with single and three phase voltage controllable fans. Auto transformer speed controllers regulate the voltage output whilst maintaining a true sine wave. The great advantage of this type of control is the low motor noise (humming) and almost no EMC emission problems. The ATCTK range is for use with single phase fans that have thermal contacts (TK). If the fan motor overheats and the TK contacts open the controller will trip. 12 9 FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS REMOTE / TRICKLE & BOOST AUTO TRANSFORMER CONTROLLERS A range of auto transformer controllers that can be ordered to work as trickle & boost controllers or as 5 speed controllers using the low voltage remote (not wireless) speed adjustment station. The ATC1-1.5 can be used as a trickle & boost controller. The fan will run at the selected speed (speeds 1-3) until such time as a switching device e.g. thermostat operates, the fan will then run at full speed. The EFSC3,5,6 & 10 all have an illuminated on/off rocker switch and a stepless rotary knob for speed adjustment. The FSC1.5 is a single gang surface or flush mount version of the EFSC1.5 The EFSC3-N and EFSC6-N are for fan motors where the neutral is controlled instead of the live. 15 FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS 12 ELECTRONIC FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS: EFSC010 RANGE (0-10V DC CONTROL) The EFSC010 range are electronic fan speed controllers that accept a 0-10v dc input signal and control the speed of the fan accordingly. As the 0-10v dc signal increases or decreases the speed of the fan increases or decreases respectively. 23 ANCILLARY PRODUCTS 20 SENSORS FOR DEMAND CONTROL VENTILATION (DCV) Most ventilation systems are designed to supply ventilated air based on assumed, rather than actual occupancy. This often results in over-ventilation, wasting both money and energy. The solution to this is Demand Control Ventilation whereby a sensor measures the actual conditions and when used in conjunction with a compatible speed controller the ventilation rate is automatically adjusted ensuring the building is ventilated cost effectively. The sensors provide a 0-10vdc output and for applications using EC motors can be used with our 0-10v setpoint adjusters (page 21). For non EC motors the sensor can be used with our 0-10v setpoint adjusters and our EFSC-010 range (page 12).
