1 Dear Kew The Music customer, There is only a week until the commencement of Kew The Music 2015, so to help grow the excitement we thought we would send you some information that we recommend you read before you set out so that you can get organised and have the best time possible, whilst also keeping yourself and your belongings safe. This information is also available at Tickets: Ticket collections will take place at the box office at Victoria Gate. The box office will be open 5.30pm 9.30pm. Tickets will be available to buy on the day from the box offices at Victoria Gate and Elizabeth Gate (subject to availability). 2 UB40 20:45 Sunday 12th Iris Gold 18:40 Sugarman 19:30 The Specials 20:45 Travel: By London Underground: Kew Gardens Station (District Line - Richmond branch and London Overground) is the closest London Underground station, and is in zone 3. Kew Gardens Station is 400 metres from the Victoria Gate entrance to the Gardens. Exit the station past the parade of shops, cross Sandycombe Road at the zebra crossing and walk down Lichfield Road (opposite) to reach Victoria Gate. If you are a wheelchair user or find stairs difficult, there is no direct accessible exit to Kew Gardens from the westbound platform. It is advisable to continue your journey to Richmond (one stop) and catch a tube or train back to Kew Gardens, where the eastbound platform leads out via a level exit to the Kew village area. From here it is a distance of approximately 400 metres to the Victoria Gate entrance to the Gardens on Kew Road. By Train: Train services (South West Trains) from Waterloo, via Vauxhall and Clapham Junction, stop at Kew Bridge Station. Kew Bridge Station is 800 metres from the Elizabeth Gate entrance to the Gardens via Kew Bridge. For more information call The London Overground service from Stratford stops at Kew Gardens Station. Richmond station is served by National Rail and there is a lift to street level and level access to the pavement from the station concourse. The bus stop for the local bus route which travels in the direction of Kew Gardens (65, in the direction of Ealing Broadway) is on the opposite side of the street from the station. The bus stops near Victoria Gate. Please note: If you have been to previous Kew The Music concerts - The Shaft Yard entrance is not in use this year. By Road: We strongly recommend that you do not drive as there will be no onsite parking, and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to park in the surrounding areas. The Brentford Road car park and Ferry Lane will not be accessible to the public.

3 Kew Gardens' postal address is Kew, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 3AB. The Gardens are well signposted from all the major local roads. The South Circular (A205) passes the north-east corner of Kew Gardens and Kew Road (A307) forms the eastern border. From the west take the M4 (exit Junction 2) or A4 upon reaching the Chiswick roundabout, follow signs to Kew Gardens to join the A205 and cross the River Thames at Kew Bridge take the second right after the bridge along the side of Kew Green. From north London follow the North Circular until you reach the Chiswick roundabout, then follow directions as above From the south or west from the M3 continue on the A316 upon reaching the Richmond roundabout, fork left on to Kew Road (A307) you will then see the Pagoda to your left and then the long brick wall on your left which is the boundary to the Gardens there is limited parking along the section of Kew Road between Victoria Gate and Lion Gate after 10am alternatively, to reach the drop off point, continue along Kew Road and upon reaching Kew Green turn left and follow the signs From the South Circular Road follow the South Circular Road past Kew Retail Park and under a railway bridge at the next traffic light junction, where the A307 joins from the left, go slowly through the junction and immediately turn left into Kew Green (NOT sharp left into the A307, as there is no left turn) By River Boat: During the summer months Thames River Boats operate a river boat service from Westminster Pier to Kew. Kew Pier is approximately 500 metres from the Elizabeth Gate entrance to Kew Gardens. By Air: Kew Gardens is in close proximity to all of the main London airports: Heathrow (11 miles), London City (26 miles), Luton (36 miles), Gatwick (45 miles) and Stanstead (65 miles). Trains run from all these airports to London where you can pick up a train to Kew Gardens station or Kew Bridge station. Age Restrictions: Children who are aged 1 to 16 years old need to be accompanied by an adult as well as having a child priced ticket (a child priced ticket is 18 less than an adult ticket).

4 A challenge 25 policy will be operated at all the bars, shops and structures where alcohol can be obtained, so if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to present your acceptable form of ID at the bar. Acceptable forms of ID are Passports, Driving licence or the government s proof of age scheme card If you do not have ID when challenged, you will not be served alcohol. Accessibility Customers: Ensuring our concerts are accessible to those whose mobility is limited is of great importance to us. For Kew the Music we offer the following: One carer of a paying disabled guest comes free. There will be a small number of wheelchairs at either gate available on a first-come, first-served basis. Mobility scooters are not available. There is a dedicated raised platform disabled viewing area at the concert, offering excellent views of the stage. Tickets for this must be pre booked. Accessible toilets are positioned at various locations around the site. The designated disabled wheelchair platform available at the concerts will have limited spaces, therefore if you require this you will need to purchase a Wheelchair Platform Admission + Carer ticket from our tickets page. The wheelchair platform is located in the General Admission area only. Disabled toilets will be provided close to the raised platform. Please note: that space within this area is limited to one disabled guest and one carer. A copy of DLA or Blue Badge will be required on entry to qualify for the free carer ticket. Without relevant identification the free carer place may be refused. The Kew the Music site is a green field site, so please be aware that although there is flat access throughout the concert site, some areas of the grounds at the event site are uneven and special care should be taken whilst moving around the site. Guide dogs or registered disability assistance dogs are allowed within the Gardens. Other animals are not allowed. Things you can bring: Picnics Chairs Alcohol You are allowed to bring your own alcohol into Kew The Music. These may be in glass bottles. Please recycle the bottles when finished. Prescription medication - accompanied by a doctor s note Things you can t bring: Gazebos Gas or liquid fuel Lanterns Drinking Glasses Glass bottles are allowed, but drinking glasses are not. Please use plastic, shatterproof drinking cups. This is to protect the wildlife.

5 Animals no pets please except guide dogs Excessive quantities of alcohol Drugs Kew the Music operates a strict no drugs policy. You may be searched on entry and anyone seen to be in possession of drugs risks being ejected from the site and reported to the police. Essentials: Ticket Money Warm clothing for the night as it can get cold. Waterproofs and an umbrella, just in case that British Summer weather doesn t hold out. If using an umbrella, please be considerate to other attendees and refrain from opening them during performances. Personal Safety: If you ve lost or found property please speak to a member of staff and they will advise on where to go to hand in item s you ve found or to ask if anything has been handed in. After the event check on the website for lost property information. It is your responsibility to ensure your personal welfare however we would advise that if it s hot, make sure you drink plenty of water and if you are drinking alcohol know your limits and drink responsibly. In the event of an incident follow instructions from stewards and police.

6 Kew The Music Terms & Conditions General information 1. Warning - Strobe lighting may be used during the concert. 2. Accessibility tickets must be booked in advance. Check the website for details Customers are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and protection against potential inclement weather. 4. Please be considerate to others at the concert and do not open umbrellas during performances. 5. A wide selection of food and drink will be available onsite. 6. Only buy official merchandise from identified vendors within the concert site. 7. It is strongly advised that you travel on public transport as there will not be any public parking. More information can be found at: Conditions for sale 1. These Conditions contain important information, please read them carefully. Possession of this ticket shall constitute acceptance of the following conditions; 2. Right to refuse entry is reserved. Security personnel will search all persons entering the premise. 3. Admission is at the ticket holder s risk. The promoter and the venue shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained within the premise. 4. An adult must accompany children under sixteen. 5. Children under 16 will need to have a child s ticket. 6. Children under 1 go free. 7. This ticket is non-transferrable. No refunds. In the event of cancellation of the event only the face value of the ticket will be refunded. In the event of a partial cancellation any refund will be at the promoter s discretion. 8. No duplicate tickets will be issued for lost tickets 9. No tickets may be used for competitions, promotions or hospitality packages, without written consent of the promoter. Any re-sold or transferred in such a manner will become voidable and the holder may be refused admission or ejected from the festival site. 10. Only tickets purchased by the Box Office or approved agents are valid for admission. Tickets sold via third parties and other unauthorised outlets, including online auction sites, are not valid for admission. 11. Title to this ticket remains with the promoter until payment has been received in full. This ticket should only be purchased from official agents/outlets. 12. All ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience. No unauthorised filming/cameras/sound recording any breach will lead to confiscation of equipment. 13. The management reserves the right to make any changes whatsoever in the performance festival owing to unforeseen or unavoidable cause.

7 14. Fireworks, smoke canisters, and other such similar articles are not permitted in the venue, and any person in possession of such articles may be refused entry or rejected. 15. No illegal substances to be brought into the concert site any found will lead to prosecution. 16. No glass bottles to be brought into the concert site. 17. No alcohol to be brought into the concert site. 18. No animals are permitted on site except guide dogs. 19. Kew Gardens is private property - no commercial trading or selling of tickets or merchandising without the consent of the promoters
