Destruction/Damage/Vandalism: Officers were dispatched to Dakin House, Merrill House and Greenwich Donuts to check all the doors and electronic equipment. The One Card administrator was present and observed damage to several of the doors in all three locations 1058 ( OF). 2 Monday May 23, 2011 Sunday May 22, 2011 Damage to Motor Vehicle: Officers were dispatched to the Enfield Quad for a report of damage to a vehicle. A visitor on campus reported backing into a wooden post but stated they did not want to file a report. There was no damage done to the post. Photographs were taken 0847 ( OF). Officers were dispatched to Emily Dickinson parking lot for a report of 2 bicycles stolen from a student. Officers took a detailed report and description of the bikes and will keep an eye out on campus 1412 ( OF). Marijuana, Possession: Officers were dispatched to Prescott for a report of the presence of drug paraphernalia in one of the rooms that had not yet been evacuated by a student. Photographs were taken and the items were confiscated and stored in an evidence locker 1433 ( OF). Saturday May 21, 2011 Officers and EMTs were dispatched to the Robert Crown Center for a report of an ill visitor. EMTs administered first aid and the individual signed a Refusal of Care form 1146 ( OF). Officers and EMTs were dispatched to Cole Science for a report of an ill visitor. EMTs administered first aid and the individual signed a Refusal of Care form (Case OF). B&E Nighttime for Felony: Officers were dispatched to Prescott for a report of breaking and entering. Officers met with a student who reported noticing a front window wide open and the screen had been forced from its track. Nothing was reported missing. A work order was submitted to Physical Plant to repair the damage 1721 ( OF). Friday May 20, 2011 Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Greenwich Donut 4 for a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was shower steam. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene 0323 ( OF). Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to the Red Barn for a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was a steam cleaner being used by custodial staff in the restrooms. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene 0835 ( OF).

Officers met with a student who reported their vehicle being keyed while parked in the Enfield parking lot. Photographs were taken 1017 ( OF). Officers were dispatched to the Johnson Library, 1 st floor restrooms for a report of graffiti on the stall walls. Photographs were taken and a work order was submitted to Physical Plant to clean the area 1135 ( OF). Officers were dispatched to the Public Safety Office for a report of stolen bicycles. A report was taken from a student reporting two bikes were left in front of Merrill Dorm and were gone on 5/19. A report and detailed description of the bikes was taken and officers will look around campus 1305 ( OF). Thursday May 19, 2011 Medical Emergency - Intoxicated: Officers, EMTs and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Merrill for a report of an intoxicated student. EMTs administered first aid and the student signed a Refusal of Care form 0118 ( OF). Officers were dispatched to Dakin K building for a report of an expended fire extinguisher. When approaching the stairwell of the first and second floor and in the laundry room, officers observed yellow fire extinguisher dust in the area. Environmental Health & Safety was contacted 0824 ( OF). Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Dakin for a fire alarm. When officers arrived, they observed a burning odor coming from one of the rooms. The Hampshire College electrician was dispatched to repair a refrigerator. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene 1123 ( OF). Wednesday May 18, 2011 Officers and EMTs were dispatched to the Multisports Center for a report of an injured visitor. EMTs administered first aid and advised the individual to seek further care. The person signed a Refusal of Care form 1516 ( OF). Tuesday May 17, 2011 Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Greenwich for a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was shower steam. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene 1947 ( OF). Trespass Notice Issued: While on routine patrol, officers observed two individuals removing items from the recycling shed at the Greenwich Circle. One of the individuals was identified as a known person on other campuses and was trespassed from Hampshire Campus 1338 ( OF). Damage to College Property: Officers were dispatched to Cole Science Center for a report of vandalism on the side of the building and to the courtyard brick wall. Photographs were taken and a work order was submitted to Physical Plant to clean the area ( OF). Officers were dispatched to the Public Safety Office in the Johnson Library for a report of a stolen bicycle. A description of the bike was taken and officers and the student will keep an eye out on campus for the bike 1133 ( OF). Thursday May 12, 2011 Trespass Notice Issued: Officers were dispatched to the Bus Circle for a report of a person who has a history of harassing individuals on campus. Officers issued a Trespass Notice and escorted the individual off campus 0050 ( OF). College Policy Violation: Officers were dispatched to the Prescott Quad area for a report of multiple fireworks. The students responsible were identified and reminded that lighting fireworks on campus is a College policy violation 0133 ( OF).

It was reported that nothing was taken from the storage area 1500 ( OF). Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Enfield for a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was cooking smoke. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene 2131 ( OF). Wednesday May 11, 2011 Medical Emergency - Intoxicated: Officers and EMTs were dispatched to the Library parking lot area for a report of an intoxicated student. EMTs administered first aid. The student signed a Refusal of Care form and officers escorted the student back to their dorm 0224 ( OF). Officers and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Greenwich for a fire alarm. When approaching the area, officers observed black spray paint on the sculpture. Photographs were taken and a work order was submitted to Physical Plant to clean the area 0715 ( OF). Destruction/Damage/Vandalism: Officers were dispatched to Merrill for a report of vandalism. Officers located the damage in the stairwell from the 1 st floor to the 2 nd floor. Graffiti was found on the walls in permanent black marker. A work order was submitted to Physical Plant to clean the area 1015 ( OF). Sunday May 08, 2011 While on routine patrol of Prescott, officers observed the strobes and sirens activated by a fire alarm. AFD was dispatched. The cause of the alarm was marijuana smoke. AFD reset the panel and cleared the scene. A work order was submitted to Physical Plant to repair the panel 0207 ( OF).

Saturday May 07, 2011 College Policy Violation: Officers were dispatched to the Dining Commons for a report of someone breaking glass in the area of Merrill and the Dining Commons. When officers approached the area they observed the front door of the dining Commons was unlocked. Officers then observed three individuals, identified as students, in the area. All stated they believed the building was open for business. The building was secured and officers cleared the scene 0140 ( OF). Trespass: Officers were dispatched to Enfield for a report of an individual on campus that had been trespassed from campus in the past. When officers entered the area they observed the individual running out the door at the rear of the room. Officers searched the area with no result. A summons has been issued 0027 ( OF). Friday May 06, 2011 Thursday May 05, 2011 Suspicious Activity: Officers were dispatched to the Greenwich parking lot for a report of suspicious activity. Officers approached two vehicles and observed miscellaneous items from the dumpster in the back of one of the vehicles. The individuals were identified, trespassed and escorted off campus 0030 ( OF). Officers and EMTs were dispatched to Franklin Patterson Hall for a report of an ill visitor. EMTs administered first aid and the individual signed a Refusal of Care form 1335 ( OF). Officers, EMTs and Amherst Fire Department were dispatched to Prescott for a report of an injured student. EMTs administered first aid and AFD transported the student to the hospital 1230 ( OF). Sunday May 01, 2011 Officers and EMTs were dispatched to the front entrance of Franklin Patterson Hall for a report of an injured student. EMTs administered first aid and advised the student to visit the hospital for further treatment 1110 ( OF). Officers were dispatched to Dakin for a report of vandalism to one of the dorm rooms. A report was taken from a Hampshire student stating that an acquaintance of theirs vandalized their room while it was vacant.
