1 B 3777 Suppliment tal-azzetta tal-vern ta Malta, Nru. 18,986, 9 ta vembru, 2012 Taqsima B L.N. 382 of 2012 PRODUCT SAFETY ACT (CAP. 427) of Marine Equipment (Amendment) s, 2012 IN exerce of the powers conferred by articles 38 and 39 of the Product Safety Act, the Minter for Fair Competition, Small Business and Consumers, on the advice of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority, has made the following regulations:- 1. (1) The title of these regulations the of Marine Equipment (Amendment) s, 2012, and these shall be read and construed as one with the of Marine Equipment s, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". (2) These regulations transpose Commsion Directive 2011/ 75/EU amending Council Directive 96/98/EC on marine equipment. (3) These regulations shall apply to equipment falling under the scope of the principal regulations. (4) These regulations shall enter into force on 5th October Paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3) of regulation 5 of the principal regulations shall be substituted by the following: "(b) Equipment lted in Schedule Ia as having been transferred from Schedule Ib which was manufactured before 5 October 2012 in accordance with procedures for type-approval already in force before th date, may continue to be placed on the market and on board a Community ship until 5 October 2014.".
