3 1. Introduction The purpose of the Part 145 continuation training is to keep ALT Engineers and Mechanics up to date with regulatory issues and the things that affect our EASA Part 145 approval. This will cover recent Quality Notices regarding the day to day issues that have arisen and also cover relevant audit findings that have been discovered by the ALT Quality department along with the Operator s quality audits. 2. 14 ALTITUDEGLOBAL.AERO CHANGE TO ALTITUDEGLOBAL.AERO (EXTERNAL) You may have noticed that your address changed due to change of provider and service levels. These should have all been amended and all correspondence is now sent to the new addresses. The 145 accounts are now null and void. REMINDER accounts are set up and issued when you receive your first Authorisation (PAC) to enable direct communications and notifications of all changes and notices, including your subsequent and renewed Authorisations. If these are not regularly reviewed, there is an extreme likelihood that a paramount safety issue may be missed, with resulting loss of either positions or roles and could have series consequences on the business. Please ensure that you do check your s regularly and if you have any issues seek to rectify as a priority. Failure to do so could result in your authorisation being suspended. 5. Quality Notices Compliance Notices Quality notices are now renamed Compliance Notices, this incorporates the department name change to better reflect the regulation. These are distributed as before and can be found on Techcom. A new procedure has been issued as TP45 and it is worth noting that once issued a read and sign register will need to be signed at the line station level and is the responsibility of the line mangers to ensure completed. This will then be part of the station audits. 15 6. Safety Notices ALT EASA Part 145 Continuation Training. Safety Notices are distributed as before and can be found on Techcom. A new procedure has been issued as TP45 and it is worth noting that once issued a read and sign register will need to be signed at the line station level and is the responsibility of the line mangers to ensure completed. This will then be part of the station audits. EVAS Emergency Vision Assurance System A cockpit smoke displacement solution that is worthy of note as you may see its introduction within an operators fleet. EVAS is a self-contained system that includes a battery powered blower which draws smoky air in through a filter, filtering out the visible particles, and out to a flexible air duct which is connected to an inflatable transparent envelope, called the Inflatable Vision Unit (IVU).
