Established in 1955 by our founder Mr. Shyam Sunder Aggarwal as small-scale unit, today Paramount has grown to become one of the most trusted brands in the cables industry. Paramount Communications Ltd is listed on both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. 3 MANUFACTURING FACILITIES AND CERTIFICATIONS Our plants are located in the industrial areas of Khushkhera, Rajasthan and Dharuhera, Haryana, close to New Delhi. Both the plants are ISO certified with a special emphasis on health and safety at the workplace. We have been awarded ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certifications by KBS Certification Services for the complete range of cables manufactured by us. Paramount has been licensed by the bureau of Indian Standards, the primary agency of the Government of India for the standardization of products, to mark our cables with IS:7098 Part-I (for XLPE insulated armoured and unarmoured cables upto 1.1kv), IS:694 (for unarmoured PVC cables), IS:1554 Part-I (for armoured PVC cables upto 1.1kv), IS:14255 (for Aerial Bunched Cables) and IS:7098 Part-II (for HT XLPE insulated armoured and unarmoured cables from 3.3kv). Certificates of Conformity PCR-201 and CS1-201 have been awarded for our Quality Management System. We also hold the LPCB ( BRE Global Loss Prevention Certification Board ) approval for our FireSecure Range of Fire Performance cables. Additionally, our Solar Cables are certified by TUV Rheinland Group. Having the most prestigious approvals in cable manufacturing from independent international bodies such as BASEC and LPCB, covering design, manufacture and supply, our customers can place their absolute confidence in Paramount products time and again. Our units and products are routinely audited throughout the year by these agencies with very exacting standards and procedures. KBS

4 Our plants are fully equipped with the latest machinery and testing equipment to ensure high quality and reliability of our products. We have complete facilities for in-house testing of Fire Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) PVC compounds. Along with this, the plants are also equipped with computerized testing machines that aid the electrical testing needs for the majority of our cables. We have also set up a state-of-the-art facility to manufacture a wide range of Optical Fibre Cables at our Khushkhera Complex. The plant can manufacture upto 54,000 km per annum of armoured, unarmoured and aerial optical fibre cables with single-mode and multi-mode optical fibres. The unit also has the capacity to produce 60,000 kms per annum of all types of electric cables including Power, Railways, Control, Instrumentation and Thermocouple. There is also production capacity for telecom cables at this unit. Our unit at Dharuhera Industrial Estate has the capacity to manufacture 5,000 kms of 11kv/ 33kv Power Cables and 15,000 kms of 1.1kv Power Cables. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and its independent testing equipment. We ensure that our clients receive the best service support from our Head Office in New Delhi and our network of regional offices. Both our plants are ideally located in industrial hubs that have easy access to New Delhi.

As per the requirements of our customers, we also manufacture and export cables in accordance with the most demanding national and international specifications such as Indian Railway Specifications (IRS), Indian Telecom Department (ITD), Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) and Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), British Standard Specifications (BSS), American Standard for Testing Methods (ASTM), International Electro Technical Committee Specifications (IEC), Vereingte Deutsche Elktrotechniker (VDE), Deutsches Institute für Normung e. v. (DIN), Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), French Standards (NFC) and Russian Standards (GOST) amongst others. ACCOLADES In the year 1984, Paramount became the first company to be awarded the National Entrepreneurship Award by the President of India for Outstanding Achievement in the field of wire and cable manufacturing. Other recognitions include the IMM Marketing Gold Award in 1992 and AIIMO Visvesvaraya Entrepreneurship Award to name a few. Paramount has consistently been recognized as one of the Top 1000 Companies in India in the annual listing compiled by Business Standard Magazine.

6 CLIENTELE AND PERFORMANCE RECORD Paramount was awarded a major share of the order for OFC cables for BBNL s (DoT) NOFN Project, about 40,000 kms of 24F Fibre OFC- among the highest order shares in the industry. NOFN or the National Optical Fibre Network is one of the most ambitious projects of the Government of India, aiming to digitally connect 250,000 villages in the country. Another major feather in our cap was the delicate and prestigious order for Instrumentation Cables from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for a project at the SHAR Centre. We have executed major orders of XPLE and PVC Power Cables for the Power Grid Corporation India Ltd. for their Northern Region Projects. We have also executed substantial orders of Power Cables for Indian Electricity Boards, Power Distribution and Generation companies such as Reliance Energy Ltd, BSES, New Delhi Power Ltd, OPGCL, HPGCL, AP Transco Ltd., UPSEB, RSEB, GEB, PSEB, KSEB and KEB. We also have developed and supplied sophisticated Instrumentation and Thermocouple Compensating Cables (including FRLS and Halogen Free cables) to a large number of customers in Power, Industrial, Petrochemical and Telecommunication sectors. We have supplied cables to Orissa Power Generation Corporation Ltd. for their IB Thermal Power Station. We have also executed supplies to the Vindhyachal, Unchahar, Kahalgaon, Sipat, Rihand, Ramagundam, Barh and Farakka Thermal Power Stations of NTPC. We have supplied 10,000 km of XLPE Insulated Aerial Bunch Cables to customers such as JVVNL, PGCIL, NDPL, BSES, Reliance, PVVNL and DVVNL etc. FRLS Instrumentation Cables (Signal Cables) and Thermocouple Compensating Cables have been supplied to the Refineries of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. at Baroda and Haldia, as well as substantial orders for Instrumentation (plant communication) Cables for Gas Authority of India Ltd. Paramount is the largest and oldest supplier of cables to the Indian Railways. We were the first manufacturers in India to have developed the sophisticated instrumentation cable, Axle Counter Cable for the Indian Railways, which is laid alongside overhead electrified tracks and our cables have the distinction of near zero rejection rates. We also manufacture and supply large quantities of Railway Signalling Cables regularly. Apart from this, we have supplied Control Cables (including FRLS cables) to various prestigious customers such as the Department of Atomic Energy, PSEB, OPGC, APSEB, NDMC and the Indian Railways for signalling purposes. We also supply Control Cables and Power Cables to organizations such as PGCIL, Department of Atomic Energy, GOI and various projects of NTPC and BHEL.

EXPORT CAPABILITY Paramount has a strong export base, having executed orders for reputed international corporations and agencies in various countries such as the UK, Spain, Russia, South Africa, UAE, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Chile, Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya and Zambia. We have for instance, executed orders for large projects for Oil and Power companies in Iraq and Oman. For the satisfaction of our international customers, we have the adaptability and technical expertise to manufacture customised products as per individual requirements, in accordance with most international standards including British, American, French, German, Japanese and Russian Standards, amongst others. Right from the raw material and design, down to packing, Paramount can customize orders according to specific needs. Our BASEC and LPCB approvals were attained with the requirements of our International customers in mind, giving them high-quality products with the competitiveness of Paramount s manufacturing.
