Oil and gas activity and investments in the North Sea have increased by more than 65 percent from 2010 to 2013, according to Statistics Norway, the country s central bureau of statistics. The organization reports that 59 exploration wells were drilled in 2013, 17 more than the previous year. Industry experts say there is still 40 years worth of production remaining in the North Sea, however, much of that oil and gas will need advanced technologies to bring it to the surface. Operating costs in the North Sea are expected to continue to rise, making it even more critical that producers continue to improve the efficiency of their operations and reduce costs. 4 3 DISCOVER How do you enable Integrated Operations with Digital Intelligence? Is it possible to change from asking and measuring, to advising and inventing? In Upstream E&P Operations, Big Data means Big Questions. New information is increasing at exponential rates & confronting us with many challenges. As we progress through this information revolution, management of E&P operations is increasingly challenging. It s a case of navigating through the tangle of new data to find the needle in the haystack. Operations need to build reliable production plans to meet markets, synchronized maintenance plans and operations execution; with the mandate to be more productive. In other words, do more, do it better, and do it with more agility... but with less resources. Dan O Brien Product Director, Production Management and Digital Suites for Oil and Gas Dan has 25 years of experience designing, developing and implementing software solutions for process and energy industries. As Product Director he works to create new offerings that meet essential customer business, reliability, and safety needs. Honeywell Process Solutions understands upstream production. Safety and performance must go hand in hand to achieve optimal production and integrated operations. Dan is currently responsible for Honeywell s newest upstream offering, the Digital Suites for Oil and Gas, enabling customers to discover performance through digital intelligence. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas and a Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law. 6 5 DISCOVER Is your Well data Optimized? Wells are the first connection points to reservoirs enabling production. Well data is frequently under-exploited for surveillance purposes. Honeywell Production Surveillance helps in the timely detection and prediction of unwanted events, by converting raw well data into useful information and presenting it to the proper people for analysis and decision making. With new techniques and tools, the available well data can be firstly cleansed for ensuring data quality, and use it for advanced KPI calculation that includes the use of well engineering models and first principle models for estimating flow in real-time, to then use cleansed data and calculated KPIs for detecting and notifying events to the proper responsible persons. Integrating raw, cleansed and calculated KPIs in a powerful manner, allows easy visualization and navigation from high level to detailed views for analysis. Using the well data and models in a more proactive manner enables a smarter and faster detection of unwanted conditions, early in advance for minimizing or avoiding deferred production, equipment damage or unsafe conditions. Michele Loseto Product Manager in Advanced Solutions, specialization: Well Performance Monitoring Michele Loseto has over 16 years of experience conceptualizing, developing, implementing, evaluating and supporting Digital Oil Field enabling technologies worldwide, with focus in Upstream Oil & Gas. He is currently Product Manager in Advanced Solutions, working closely with business/sales leaders to ensure that AS s offering satisfies current and future market requirements, and conceptualizing offerings to meet customer needs. He joined Honeywell in 2008 through Matrikon as a senior engineer for Well Performance Monitoring, and has had roles ranging from tech lead, project manager to sales consultant. Prior to this he was employed by an innovative company developing/marketing telemetry solutions for the oil and utility industries. He also worked for 6 years in a national oil company developing, field testing and supporting the massification of novel metering and automation technologies to achieve operational excellence. Michele holds degrees in Electronic Engineering and Master in Business Administration.

Over the last few years, protection of the environment and ensuring health and safety have been and continue to be the highest priority for industrial automation projects in the process industry. The IEC61508 standard (ANSI/ISA S84.01 in the USA) represents a major step forward in achieving these important objectives. Tony Alexander Honeywell Tony Alexander has over 30 years experience in DCS systems from the introduction of TDC 2000 to Experion PKS. He joined Honeywell in 1981 as a systems engineer commissioning TDC 2000 systems in oil refineries. He has held various roles associated with process control systems, joining the technology group in 2002 as a solutions consultant. Peter Overgaauw Honeywell Process Solutions System Consultant Peter has since 2002 been working as an EMEA systems consultant for Experion, specializing in overall communication technologies with a special interest in HART, Foundation Fieldbus and related tools for device and asset management. He is involved in very large Foundation Fieldbus project implementations. During his 20 years at Honeywell, he has worked with Honeywell control systems such as TDC 2000, TDC 3000, TPS, PlantScape and Experion, as well as field instruments. He is based in the Netherlands.

Digital Video Manager fully integrates to the Experion Process and Security platforms putting eyes on equipment, processes and events remotely and without the need to put personnel at risk. Adrian has been a key part of the Global Industrial Security initiative with Honeywell since Adrian is responsible for the coordination of Honeywell s strategic partners, business development and marketing of key solutions for the protection of large and medium sized operations that include - but are not limited to - Refineries, Pipelines, Power Plants, Chemical Plants, On & Off-shore Facilities and Industrial Ports. Prior to re-joining Honeywell Adrian was the Integrated Systems Division Manager for Swiss security products manufacturer, Kaba. Adrian has a strong technical background due to his 10 years of service as an Avionics Engineer with the Royal Air Force.

Asle has a Master degree in Engineering Cybernetics and a diploma in Business Administration. He is based in Asker, Norway. Kristin Stensland Dahl Honeywell Process Solutions Kristin is a LSS Account Manager for Honeywell Norway. She joined Honeywell in 2012 and she has 20 years of experience in industrial sales and marketing. Kristin holds an Economics & Law degree from the University of Oslo. Henrik Häller Honeywell Process Solutions Line Ingebrigtsen Honeywell Process Solutions Line joined Honeywell in 2010 and is currently working as an LSS Account Manager for Honeywell Norway. Line holds a bachelor s degree in English and in Sales & Marketing. Henrik is working as an Account Manager in Norway and Sweden.
