1 The Christmas Season is fast approaching and our thoughts turn towards the ever popular festive flowers POINSETTIAS! Poinsettias are excellent for seasonal decorating and they can also be used as gifts. We are celebrating 22 years of growing quality potted plants and flowers! At Family Flowers, we strive to provide our customers with excellent service and outstanding products season after season. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our beautiful Christmas plants for your fundraiser during this Holiday season. The following package has been put together for your group it contains pricing, pot sizes, ordering and shipping information, as well as general poinsettia care tips that we hope you and your fundraiser supporters will find helpful. If this is the first time you are deciding to venture out into the flower fundraising idea we welcome you! This type of fundraising has proven to be quite successful with many different groups. It is a fresh alternative to accumulate funds for your organization and it appeals to all sorts of individuals - after all, who doesn t enjoy a beautiful pot of flowers! If you have done a fundraiser with us before, we are very happy to assist you again with your goals and we assure you that you will be pleased with our products and your profits. Please take the time to review our variety list; but remember order preference will be made on a first come, first served basis. 2 Fundraiser Price List Winter 2016 The Classic Collection Poinsettias: 4.5 pot $ (available in red, white and pink) 6 pot $ (available in red, white, pink and marble) 8 pot $ (available in red, white, pink and tri-colour) 10 pot $ (available in red, white, pink and tri-colour) The Winter Dazzler Poinsettias: 6 pot $ (available in Burgundy, Ice Punch, Red Glitter, Winter Rose Red, and Winter Rose White) Family Flowers Gift Card: Order a gift card for any amount (minimum $10.00) % discount Useful for personal shopping or makes a great Christmas gift! The above prices do not include HST (13%) which will be applied on the invoice. Prices include a pot cover around the pot, a protective plastic sleeve and boxing as required. 8 and 10 pots include plastic support ring around poinsettia bracts for added stability. 3 Fundraiser Information Winter 2016 Selling poinsettias for Christmas time is an excellent way to raise funds for your organization. If your group decides to use Family Flowers as the source for your holiday plants, we would require the following: 1. Very important book a pick-up date as soon as possible. The most popular weeks are the last week of November and the first week of December. 2. We would like to have your order numbers and colours at least one week before your pick-up date. 'Last minute' changes and additions can be accomodated up to 2 days before pick-up. 3. Re-orders can be made, based on colour and selection availability. 4. Order numbers should be double checked before ing or faxing your totals to us. 5. Delivery is available, please call for a price quote. Please remember... Keep poinsettias out of the cold temperatures after all, they are native to Mexico! This means poinsettias should be picked up from the greenhouse in a warm, heated vehicle (they will not survive in the back of a pick-up truck). Do not leave poinsettias outside for any amount of time. Poinsettias are quite fragile. To avoid breaking bracts, use care when handling the plants. We advise customers to cut the protective plastic sleeve slowly from the bottom to the top instead of trying to slide the sleeve down off the plant. When doing fundraisers with children, we suggest having an adult come in to pick up their orders as opposed to sending the plants home with the children. Poinsettias are not poisonous! The Poisindex Information Service states that over 500 poinsettia leaves ingested by a 50lb child would demonstrate no toxicity. Of course, like all ornamental plants, the poinsettia is not intended for human consumption.
