Verify irrigation coverage to the rear of Unit Use supplemental fertilizers to promote vigorous growth in the Bermuda grass to infill areas where Carpet grass has been reduced. 34. Control Goose grass in irrigated turf stands. CAMBRIDGE M 35. Use selective herbicides to control Nutsedge in Goose grass. 36. Control Nutsedge in turf stands. DORCHESTER A 37. Entrance: Remove the hanging frond from the Queen palm. GLOUCESTER N 61. Target prune the broken Queen palm from to the left of Unit Monitor Queen Palm at Unit : I recommend rejuvenational pruning of the Natal plum at the front of the unit to a manageable height of approximately 4 feet. GLOUCESTER P 64. Control Goose grass and Nutsedge in turf stand. KNOLLS I 65. Rejuvenate prune Pampas grass at Unit 401 Bloom Court. 66. Remove windfall and storm debris during weekly visits.
7 67. Driveway adjacent to the pool: Control Goose grass in the Bermuda stands. Continue to fertilize to promote infill and growth of Bermuda grass in irrigated areas. 68. Allow all Bottlebrush to flush to flower. Repeated shearing is reducing the flowering potential of the shrubs. KNOLLS II 69. Parking area adjacent to Unit 303: Rejuvenate prune Jatropha 50% allowing the shrub to reflush and maintain it more as a compact flowering shrub. 70. Remove the dead Azalea across from the Kinneret/Knoll Point intersection. KNOLLS III 71. Unite 314: I recommend elevating the Avocado tree in front of the unit. CATEGORY III: IMPROVEMENTS PRICING 1. Bedford F: Provide price to the Association to remove any materials growing in the soffits along building sides that are not a part of the contract scope. 2. Bedford E: Provide quote to level and sod the area where the tree had been removed in the vicinity of Bedford H: Provide price to target prune and remove material growing into soffits along the building sides not covered by the ValleyCrest maintenance scope. 4. Bedford G: Provide price to sod over areas in the vicinity of 167 & 168 where herbicides have reduced carpet grass. Bare soil will likely regenerate turf weeds where St. Augustine will prevent further encroachment of grassy weeds. 5. Fairfield E: Provide price to remove the dead Holly tree at Unit Andover G: I recommend proposal to infill areas where herbicides have reduced grassy weeds with Bahia grass. 7. Cambridge L, adjacent to parking garage (L-12 & L-3): Provide price to replace Carpet grass with Bahia turf. 8. Cambridge L, in front of L-1: Provide price to replace with Bahia grass. CATEGORY IV: NOTES TO OWNER 1. Fairfield G adjacent to Unit 1808-A: I recommend monitoring the large Water Oak as it is exhibiting rot and fungal Conks. The tree is in decline and most likely will not survive the amount of decay present. 2. Andover F: The street lamp is damaged.
8 3. Knolls I: We recommend the removal of the dead Oak tree near the covered parking area. 4. Cambridge K: I suggest reducing volume of irrigation on Bahia grass. Over irrigated Bahia tends to become weedy and has a higher potential of decline. CATEGORY V: NOTES TO CONTRACTOR 1. Turf color was very good throughout the project. Recent blanketing rains certainly helped. Irrigation services and effective irrigation is critical as we enter the seasonal dry season. 2. Monitor South West Florida Water Management District for Board decisions to reduce available watering days in April. ( ) 3. Contractor is reminded to use sanitized pruning tools when pruning all palms. PGW:bw cc: Stacey Tarachek staracek@thecontinentalgroupinc.com John Cornelius jcornelius@valleycrest.com
