Painting Instructions: Basecoat as follows: Lamp Black Paint all pieces front and back, this will take two coats. Sand lightly between the two coats with Super Film; wipe off dust with a towel or cloth. Transfer the main pattern lines for the house as well as the star. Do not transfer patterns for the 1

3 windows, door or wreath at this time. With your Clear Scotch Tape, tape off all sides for the house. Rub a 2 oz. paint bottle along the edges to seal the tape closest to your design. With your largest flat brush for the area, basecoat the body of the house, this will take about two coats leave the tape on until you are satisfied with the coverage of the house. Remove tape and when completely dry apply tape around all of the edges for the roof and basecoat. Once the roof is completely dry, then tape off both of the chimneys and basecoat. Oyster Beige House Graphite Roof Hauser Light Green Undercoat the chimneys Heritage Brick Top coat of chimneys, door (do not paint the door until the shading and highlighting of the house is complete) Antique Gold Star, windows (do not paint the windows until the shading and highlighting of the house is complete) Shade around all sides of the house and under the roof with Pebble. With our largest highlighter brush, highlight the center of the house with Light Buttermilk. When your shading and highlighting is dry, transfer the pattern on for your door and windows. Basecoat your door and windows per the basecoating instructions listed above. Shade all four sides of your windows and down the left side of the star with Raw Sienna. Highlight the center of each window and down the right side of the star with Marigold. Shade around all sides of the door and chimneys with Russet. Highlight the center of the door and chimneys with Terra Cotta. For the roof, shade around all sides with Lamp Black and highlight the center with Neutral Grey. When the roof is dry, transfer the pattern for the circle to start the layering of the wreath. For the first layer, use your liner and Espresso and follow the pattern line with a squiggly line, and then build out a few squiggle strands once the main line is done. Then, with Milk Chocolate, go back over and add a few more squiggly circles and additional lines to give the wreath more substance. Using Antique Gold add a few highlight squiggles here and there on the wreath. With your liner brush, add leaves here and there with Light Avocado 2

4 and then go back over the leaves with just a touch of Hauser Light Green don t go over the entire leaf, just touch a side here and there to make them pop. With your stylus and Red Alert, add sets of three berries as well as a few single ones here and there around the wreath. When everything is done, line the roof where it touches the black background with Neutral Grey. Line the windows and door with Lamp Black, add the lines in for the window panes at this time too. Outline the star and chimneys if desired. With a larger stylus, add a dip dot for the doorknob. Finishing: When dry, sand around the outside edges to expose some of the wood for a more primitive look. Finish with DecoArt Dura Clear Matte Varnish. Choose your favorite fabric and create a bow to go around the candle cup base. 3
