3 - Ruins of the Salton sea, CA THE INTENTIONAL MIRACLE AT THE SALTON SEA, CALIFORNIA. The Salton Sea offers the good life in the sun. It s the place for you to take charge of your future, you can come as you are no reservations required. (Real Estate Advertisement, 1958) The Salton Sea is the result of a massive engineering mishap in which the Colorado River was accidently diverted into California s Imperial Valley during the early-1900s. Before the flow could be halted over 350 sq. miles of desert had been flooded. This accidental sea soon became a tourist attraction, however, and an opportunity for rampant architectural speculation. Resorts, marinas and suburbs grew up almost overnight and by its height in the 1950s members of the cultural elite from Jack and Jackie Kennedy to Frank Sinatra and his booze-addled Rat Pack visited to drink martinis and race speedboats. Unfortunately the California Riviera was fed with chemically enriched agricultural run-off and the promise of modern architectural haven a Palm Springs with water faded with the toxic reality of 140 deg. summers and apocalyptic wildlife die-offs. The Intentional miracle is created in different iteration, each apan a 10 year life time, transfere its content with reduction of scale and distialltion of objects, resulting in a more condensed, consised salton sea for the remaining inhabitant, and their salvage of the lost American dream.

The Church of Colònia Güell is an unfinished work by Antoni Gaudí. It was built as a place of worship for the people in a manufacturing suburb in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, near Barcelona (Spain). Colònia Güell was the brainchild of Count Eusebi de Güell. However with Güell losing profits from his business, the money ran out and only the crypt was completed. This project is an extension of Gaudi s unfinished church, concept based on the 14 station of the cross, and using that to focus visitors in a path of spritial journey at Colonia Guell. Each of the stations represents one stage of the cruxifixion, and represented by its rusted texture to describe the violence of the event.

WIND POWER GENERATING TRAIN STATION IN SHOREDITCH, EAST LONDON This project is based on a site set at Shoreditch, a station that is yet to be reopen, and the design scheme is to use the speed of the train and its power to generate electricity and light up the surrounding and at the same time attract people to unite Shoreditch. The project went through a few iteration of designs, concluding with a concrete and tectonic platform for social activities.

18 - structure and oven in construction PIZZA OVEN AND WINTER STUCTURE IN KOSHIRAKURA, JAPAN The Koshirakura Landscape Workshop is directed by Shin Egashira and is part of the Visiting School program of the AA School of Architecture. This year, we constructed a Pizza oven for the locals to experience a part of western food culture, and a shelter to protect it from the snow fall during winters. Oven was layed with fire bricks and rendered in red clay, supported by concret foundation. The frame was made with 15x15 wood pieces, and has a bench on either side to acoomindate up to 6 people for dining. I was part of the design team for the structure, and co-ordinating the construction.
