unit heaters Unit heaters The unit heaters are primary used to heat large spaces outside the accommodation like workshops, engine room, etc. The heating is done by hot-air supply through a heating coil. There are different types of heating units: Portable heating unit: Delta electrical heating units are easily movable and can be mounted to the wall with brackets for permanent installation. The heating units are available from kw to 2 kw. Electrical heating unit: VLE heating units are mainly used in rough environments where boiler water is not available. The heating units are available from kw to 6 kw. Explosion-proof electrical heating unit: FE2 heating units are ATEX certified unit heaters, specially developed for Ex II and EX IIB zone. The heating units are available from 2.5 kw to 2. kw. Hot-water heating unit: TGA heating units are the most common heating units used offshore and on board ships. The hot water from the boiler acts as heating medium. Steam can also be used as heating medium for higher efficiency. The heating units are available from 8. kw to 00 kw. Thermal-oil heating unit: Thermal-oil heating units are functionally similar to hot-water heating units. The heating units are mainly used in areas with extremely low temperatures. Thermal oil acts as heating medium. Thermal oil has a low freezing point and a high temperature limit up to 400 C.
VLE unit heaters The VLE electrical fan heaters are designed for rough environments e.g. on ships, offshore, in workshops and large production areas. The heaters are available in three standard types: VLE-4, VLE-5 and VLE- 6. The heaters are available in galvanized steel, but can also be supplied in different materials (on customer request). The heaters have a built-in thermostat (0-40 C) which ensures optimal operation and minimizes the energy consumption. The heaters have a thermal fuse that turns off the heater at 0 C. Heating element The heaters have an electric tube heating element made of stainless steel (AISI04). Standard version The heaters are supplied in x 440V (AC) or x 400V (AC), but very often applications require different voltages. All types are available from 20V to x 690V, with output from.2 kw to 50 kw. Safety class IP44. Installation The heaters can be mounted on the wall or ceiling (horizontally or vertically). FE2 unit heaters FE2 electrical fan heaters are CE-marked & ATEX-approved for use in hazardous areas. The heaters are designed for locations where specific explosive gases or dust may be present. The heaters use the Vacucore. The induced vacuum within the sealed core provides greater efficiency, distribution of heat across the face of the exchanger and a faster warm-up. If necessary, the entire core can be safely and easily replaced with a new exchanger or core. The heaters are ATEX Approved (directive 94/9/EC) and Ex II 2 G, Ex d IIB T Gb-certified. Heating element The heater core assembly has a sturdy, epoxy-coated, 4-gauge steel cabinet which carries the motor and fan assembly. Adjustable louvers allow directional control of the air flow. All fasteners are zincplated for corrosion protection. Standard version The heaters are supplied in 50 Hz or 60 Hz. All types are available from x 220V to x 440V. Installation The heaters can be mounted on the wall or ceiling (horizontally or vertically). Mounting kits are available on request. Mounting kits are made of steel with a wet-applied enamel paint. If the heater is installed on a structure that must be transported, provide additional support for the heater during transport. The suspended weight must not exceed 00 lbs (6 kg). Alternatives available on request. Due to continuous product development, Heinen & Hopman reserves the right to introduce alterations without prior notice.

Hot-water unit heaters Hot-water unit heaters are primarily designed for heating of large rooms, workshops or production areas. The TGA 2000 heaters are designed for onshore and offshore objects. The heaters are manufactured in different sizes, with a heating capacity from 8. kw to 00 kw and an air flow from 40 m³/h to 970 m³/h. Heating element The heaters use the boiler water as heating medium. The air will flow through the heating coil by using a axial or centrifugal fan. The heaters are available with copper tube and aluminum fins, but can also be supplied with stainless-steel casing and galvanized-steel heat exchanger (suitable for rough environments e.g. on ships, offshore). Steam can also be used as heating medium for higher efficiency. The TGA 000 heaters have a robust steel hot-dip galvanized heating coil, designed for steam heating. For extremely low temperatures where water/glycol is not applicable, thermal oil can act as heating medium. The TGA 000 heaters have a robust steel hot-dip galvanized heat exchanger, designed for use with hot water, overheated water or thermal oil. Standard version The heaters have 2-speed motor ventilators. The motors have an externally rotating rotor. Protection class: IP54 Insulation class: F On request, special motors, e.g. -speed motors, EEx(e) or EEx(d) motors can be mounted. The heaters are available in x 20V, x 20V or x 400V (2-speed or -speed). Installation The TGA can be mounted on the wall or ceiling (horizontally or vertically).
