Delavan Establishes a 23-year TIF District In an effort to provide incentives for development projects, the City of Delavan established a 23-year Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District in 2011 that includes several areas of the city. Parameters have been established to entice private investment in the city s primary focus - new residential development. In addition, incentives are in place for light industrial, commercial, and retail projects. As an added incentive, the city of Delavan has waived all permit fees including water sewer tap ons until 2017. Delavan Community Unit School #703 District has received the highest financial rating for the last seven years and continues to operate in the black. With nearly 500 students, grades K through 12, Delavan boasts high graduation rates and small class sizes. Awarded a Great Schools rating based on its performance on state standardized tests. Parks, Recreation & Activities The city of Delavan maintains three beautiful parks, each with unique features and activities. Community Safety The city of Delavan has a full-time paid policedepartment, along with volunteer fire andambulance services.
