Purpose of Work stream 3 - procurement Discuss what the requirements are likely to be for the next generation of the national Telecare procurement arrangement. Discussion here will feed into the User Intelligence Group and inform the agenda This will then be used in the procurement strategy and develop the specifications and terms and conditions 2
Telecare Equipment (06-14) Overview Telecare Equipment Framework (06-14) Framework period 1 January 2015 31 December 2018 Participation Suppliers All 32 councils and three housing associations purchased from this framework. Chubb, Tunstall, Tynetec, Just Checking, Communicare247, BES Rehab and Storm. Spend Total spend across the first year of the framework was 7.4 million Savings Total savings across 32 local authorities and associate members over the past 18 months are estimated to be at 257,971 3

Initial Scoping work Strategy What are the procurement options available? 1 (Bronze). Do a carbon copy of the current framework but have a digital spec included? Plus additional lots for telehealth and ARC hardware/software. 2. (Silver) Same as option one but include a separate lot s for door entry systems, keys safes and asset management. 3. (GOLD) Same as Option two but add as well as a framework add a dynamic purchasing system for innovation. This will allow new products and suppliers to be added. 4. Anything else? (Platinum) 14
