ProControl overview 6 Thermic valves ATV Possibility to exchange all internal elements The valve construction allows to remove all of the internal functional elements to clean out the valve from contamination or exchange its elements. Temperature range fitting your needs Temperature range within 45 60 C of the water returning to the boiler allows to use the thermic valves in standard installations and in installations with heat storage tanks. Full flow control ATV valves regulate the flow rate on connections A and B, therefore, there is no need to use additional regulating valves. Possibility to work as a diverting valve The ATV valve can also work as a diverting valve when it is mounted between the boiler and a storage tank. It does not allow then to load the storage tank when the temperature of the water leaving the boiler is not high enough. Possibility to change the temperature Thanks to the construction of the valve there is a possibility to exchange its thermostatic element. It enables to change the temperature of the water returning to the boiler.

THERMIC VALVES ATV thermic valves ATV The ATV thermic valves are made of brass and have female threads. Inside the valve there is a thermostatic element which regulates the temperature of the water returning to the boiler and keeps it on a constant, minimal level. The opening temperature indicates the temperature at which the ATV valve starts to open its A connection through the thermostatic element. The valve can be mounted in all positions. Application of the ATV valve does not require mounting additional regulating valves on its connections. The constructions of the ATV valve allows to exchange the thermostatic element with no need of dismantling the valve from the installation. 7 TECHNICAL DATA Parameter / piece Pressure class Value / material PN10 Media temperature 5 95 C Differential pressure Internal leak rate A - AB B - AB Glycol concentration max 50% max 100 kpa (1 bar) max 1% Kvs (Δp 100 kpa) max 3% Kvs (Δp 100 kpa) Body Nut O-rings brass CB753S brass CW617N EPDM TABLE OF ATV VERSIONS Art.-Nr type DN * Rp internal threads Kvs [m 3 /h] connections* 16 333 50 ATV 333 25 9 Rp 1 45 C 16 334 50 ATV 334 25 9 Rp 1 50 C 16 335 50 ATV 335 25 9 Rp 1 55 C 16 336 50 ATV 336 25 9 Rp 1 60 C 16 553 50 ATV 553 32 12 Rp 1¼ 45 C 16 554 50 ATV 554 32 12 Rp 1¼ 50 C 16 555 50 ATV 555 32 12 Rp 1¼ 55 C 16 556 50 ATV 556 32 12 Rp 1¼ 60 C opening temperature MOST COMMON APPLICATION A The ATV thermic valves are designed to efficiently load storage tanks and protect the solid fuel boilers from too low temperature of the returning water. If it is lower than the producer of the boiler recommends, it can cause smaller efficiency, corrosion, tarring and sooting which eventually brings to a shorter life span of the boiler. The ATV valve causes that water circulates in the short circuit until the boiler gains the required temperature. After the temperature is appropriate, the valve opens its B connection and loads the tank, also keeping the required temperature of the water returning to boiler. AB B

ProControl overview 8 Rotary mixing valves ARV Low torque required Very low torque is required to rotate the valves. Therefore actuators are slightly charged, what increases their lifespan. Sleeve valve position indicator The thicker, raised part of the valve knob defines the position of the sleeve inside the valve. This makes the setting and controlling of the valve easier. Legible scale The legible scale, located on the cover of the valve knob, allows to precisely determine the ARV valve position. Each valve comes with two covers with following scales: first scale from 0 to 10 and second from 10 to 0. They allow the valve to operate in different assembling positions. The non-slip material knob Made of special plastic, the knob allows easy and precise setting of the valve in manual mode.

ROTARY MIXING VALVES ARV The 3-way and 4-way rotary mixing valves ARV with female threads are made of brass. They are equipped with knobs for manual operation. Wide range of sizes gives the possibility to choose a valve that fits client s needs. The ARV valves have a limiting ring which restricts the rotation angle and makes the setup of the valves easier. You can automate the work of the valves by using electric actuators ARM. ARV valves can be used as mixing valves and also as diverting valves in all types of installations. ProControl overview 10 3 and 4-way rotary mixing valves ARV MOST COMMON APPLICATIONS The 3-way rotary mixing valve ARV mixes the hot water coming from the boiler with cold water returning from the installation. Thanks to that you can regulate temperature of the water flowing to the installation. The 3-way rotary mixing valve ARV distributes the water coming from the installation between the return to the boiler and the supply of the installation. Thanks to that you can regulate the temperature of the water flowing to the installation. The 3-way rotary mixing valve ARV diverts the hot water from the boiler to the supply of the heating installation or to the storage tank loading it.

3 and 4-way rotary mixing valves ARV 11 The 4-way rotary mixing valves ARV are designed to raise the temperature of the water flowing back to the boiler. The hot water from the boiler is mixed with the cold water returning from the installation simultaneously increasing the temperature of the water returning to the boiler. It helps to achieve a higher efficiency of the whole installation and also prevents corrosion, tarring and sooting of the boiler. ARV 3 AND 4-WAY REGULATING SETS The 3-way and 4-way rotary mixing valves ARV are designed to work with electric actuators ARM. There are regulating sets that include the ARV valve and the most popular actuator ARM 343 (230 V AC, 3-point, 120 s, 6 Nm). ProControl overview 12 Electric actuators ARM LEDs signaling the state of the actuator Colour signaling LEDs determine the rotation direction of the ARM actuator and inform when the auxiliary switch is on. Electric wires marked with colours ARM actuator electric wires are marked with colours. Due to that mounting is easier and it also prevents mistakes. Mode switch Using the switch it is possible to choose between automatic and manual mode. Protection against damage of the actuator caused by valve jamming A built-in system prevents ARM actuators from damaging caused by jamming of the valve. It extends the lifespan of the actuator. Legible scale The legible scale located on the cover of the ARM actuator knob allows precise opening of the valve. Each actuator comes with two knob covers with the following scales: one with the scale from 0 to 10 and the second with the scale from 10 to 0. It allows the actuator to work in various mounting positions. Soft operation Thanks to a special grease on the racks, the ARM actuator works silently. It excludes the necessity of its installation in soundproofed rooms and extends its lifespan.

ELECTRIC ACTUATORS ARM The ARM electric actuators are designed for operating 3 and 4-way rotary mixing valves. They are made in many useful configurations. The torque value can be 6, 10 or 15 Nm. The actuator can be operated manually. The auxiliary switch is also an option. Thanks to the scale on the knob you always know in which position the actuator currently is. LED diodes on the body are signaling the direction in which the actuator is turning. The ARM actuators also have a system protecting the device in case of valve blockage. They are delivered with a 2 meter electric wire. ProControl overview 20 Double scale Thermostatic mixing valves ATM The double legible scale with temperatures of mixed water and set points helps to preset the proper temperature of mixed water and guarantees the correct functioning of the ATM valve. Socket for the Allen key Socket for the Allen 7 mm key allows to easily change the position of the knob. Especially in the case of difficult access to the valve's top. Inspection window Window at the top of the protective cover gives the possibility to check the valve's presetting. Especially important when the valve's cap is locked with the a seal. Protective cover Every ATM valve comes with a cover for the temperature adjustment knob. It eliminates the possibility of accidental changes in temperature. The seal lock gives the possibility to lock the cover when the valve's presetting should be protected. Innovative internal construction Different types Three types of connections and two Kvs factors allow to pick valves for almost all standard applications. As an additional option fittings with non-return valves are available. Thanks to the new, innovative construction, ATM valves work perfectly in hard dynamic pressure conditions and are more resistant to impurities. An additional protection spring secures the thermostatic element against overheating.

THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVES ATM The ATM thermostatic mixing valves are intended to regulate the temperature of mixed water. ATM valves can be installed before water taps or showers. The ATM thermostatic mixing valves should be used always when a need to protect the users from scalding or a fast reaction to temperature or pressure changes is required. The ATM valves also give the possibility to safely heat the water up in tap water systems to prevent from the Legionella. The anti-scald function closes the hot water inlet in case of cold water lack. Thermostatic mixing ATM valves can be also used in underfloor heating systems as mixing valves before manifolds. They can be used with pure water or mixtures of water and glycol in concentrations of up to 50%. The ATM valves can be mounted in all positions. ProControl overview 22 Thermostatic mixing valves ATM with bigger Kvs Double scale The double legible scale with temperatures of mixed water and set points helps to preset the proper temperature of mixed water and guarantees the correct functioning of the ATM valve. Protective cover Every ATM valve comes with a cover for the temperature adjustment knob. It eliminates the possibility of accidental changes in temperature. The seal lock gives the possibility to lock the cover when the valve s presetting should be protected. Inspection window Window at the top of the protective cover gives the possibility to check the valve's presetting. Especially important when the valve's cap is locked with the a seal. Anti-scald function Lack of cold water flow causes the inlet of hot water to shut off. Bigger Kvs value Kvs values 3,2 and 4,2 allow to use the ATM valves in big domestic water regulating systems. Mixed water flows out from the side of the valve A mixed water stream flows out from the side connection of ATM valve. It enables the valve to be mounted very easily.

THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVES ATM WITH BIGGER Kvs thermostatic mixing valves ATM The bigger ATM thermostatic mixing valves are made of brass. They have a knob with a legible double scale for setting the required mixed water temperature in range 35 60 C or 20 43 C. SOLARSET FOR PREPARING d.h.w. ASS The solarset ASS is entirely made of brass. It consists of an ATM mixing valve, diverting valve and a tee. The ATM valve has a knob with a legible scale that allows setting the required mixed water temperature in range 35 60 C. The plastic cover eliminates the possibility of an accidental temperature change. The anti-scald function closes the hot water connection in case of cold water lack. The ATM valve also allows heating safely the water up in tap water systems to prevent from the Legionella bacteria. The solarset ASS can be mounted in all positions. All parts can be rotated by 360. If the temperature on the inlet is between 43 C and 47 C the diverting valve directs some of the water to the additional heat source and some directly to the ATM mixing valve. When the temperature at the ASS solarset inlet is above 47 C, the diverting valve directs all of it to the ATM valve and the additional heat source is not used. The water is mixed to the proper temperature at the ATM valve and then flows to the d.h.w. system.

ProControl overview 28 Zone valves AZV Position indicator On the top of the actuator there is an indicator that shows the current position of the internal element. This tells us in which way flows the medium in 3-way valves or whether the valve is open or closed in 2-way valves. Electric wires marked with colours AZV actuator electric wires are marked with colours. Due to that mounting is easier and it also prevents mistakes. Easy to dismount actuator It is easier to install the valve with dismounted actuator. To do so you have to remove the metal buckle and lift the actuator. After mounting the valve, put the actuator back on it. To make it easier it only fits in one position. Resistant to high differential pressure Thanks to the innovative construction of the internal elements the valve is resistant to high differential pressure (up to 3 bar). The internal construction also prevents the valve from blocking when in one positions for a longer period of time. Adapter for 3-way valves An optional adapter for 3-way switching valves AZV is available. It widens the possible medium temperature range to -15 120 C (temporarily even 160 C).

zone valves AZV 29 ZONE VALVES AZV The zone valves AZV consist of two main elements the valve and the electric actuator. The valve body is made of brass and the internal elements from PPS composite. The electric actuator has a pre-mounted 1 metre wire. On the top of the actuator there is the position indicator. The zone valves AZV are designed to be used in heating, solar and air-conditioning installations as switching valves (3-way) or shut-off valves (2-way). They are controlled via SPST signal from any thermostat or other switch. ProControl overview 30 zone valves AZV Adapter for 3-way switching valves Art.-Nr 16 100 50 name/description Adapter for 3-way zone valves AZV which allows to use them with medium temperatures -15 120 C (160 C temporarily) SAMPLE APPLICATIONS The 2-way shut-off valve combined with a heat tank thermostat in this installation will carry out the priority of heating the domestic water. If the temperature in the heat tank decreases the thermostat will open the valve and the boiler will quickly heat up the tank. After the temperature in the tank rises above this on the thermostat, the valve will close. The 3-way valve in this installation can be controlled via a heat tank thermostat or a controller. If a thermostat is used, the valve will change its position when the temperature of the water in the heat tank changes. When a controller is used, the valve will switch depending on the chosen priority (domestic hot water or heating).
