9 THINGS TO DO BEFORE INSTALLING HEAT DECOR'S HEATING FILM 1. Check if you're in possession of all the materials and tools you need. 2. Check all the parameters of the building's electrical installation to make sure there won't be a problem in using infrared foil and other electronic devices at the same time.in case the collector's electrical power isn't enough, you need to increase it until your electrical installation gets to a safe exploitation level. 3. Measure the electrical tension in the place of the installation. The heating foil works with a tension of 230v. 4. Check the humidity of the substructure on which you'll be installing the infrared foil- it can't exceed 2%. If the substructure's vulnerable to humidity, use a damp proof isolation.. Check your heat isolation's condition so you can decide on the thickness of the heat-insulation mat you want to choose to be underneath your HEAT DECOR heating film. 6. Make a draft of the room writing down its measurements. On your sketch, plan how to lay the heating foil on the ground including the positioning of the electric wires which power the foil. Plan and draw the location of the electrical box of the thermostat. Remember to write down all the measurements; a good sketch of your installation will be really helpful. CAUTION! DON'T INSTALL THE THERMOSTAT IN A SUNNY PLACE OR A PLACE AFFECTED BY AIR DRAFTS.
