Our train maintenance systems are powered by the original Vogelsang rotary lobe pump: A self priming positive displacement pump specially designed to operate with viscous liquids and liquids contaminated with foreign bodies. The suction medium is directly aspirated by the highly robust elastomer-coated rotating lobes and transported into the sewer network. The Vogelsang pumps are equipped with robust two-wing lobes. Combined with a special, extra large coating, they ensure a maximum ball diameter and resistance against foreign bodies such as t-shirts and cutlery. The VX design allows you to service all wearing parts without de-installation of the pump, keeping service times and costs at a minimum. That is why train service systems must be readily available. The core of the Vogelsang waste water disposal network is the double pump station. Two Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps VX 186 or VX 136 series ensure high vacuum power and reliable 24/7 operation. The pumps are designed to be redundant: one pump serves as the operating pump, while the other acts as a backup. The double pump station contains all direct connections to the sewer network. The waste water is disposed of in a single step. Pumps, valves and electronics are fully integrated in one compartment. They are easily accessible and convenient to service. The double pump station is available in three typical layouts: Compact cabinet for platform or railside positioning Container unit with space for additional components As an open system to be installed in a pump room or as an underground pump unit Centralized design for midsize and large train depots The network waste water system consists of a central pump station and multiple service satellites. The network size and layout is designed according to your individual traffic, technology and service demands. Two redundant Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps in a central pump station typically supply a complete network, e.g. in Europe s largest train depot more than 80 T-Systems are supported. Up to 5 parallel clearing services can be performed, keeping the service team at maximum efficiency. Various technologies can be integrated with the network system, e.g. it can be adapted to water toilets and blue water toilets. The network can be upgraded with various options such as remote access controls and logging, condition monitoring, and automated surveillance of network components such as pumps and valves. The systems include everything needed for waste and freshwater services and can operate independently. There are three basic versions for waste water and freshwater supply: stations with user-friendly T-systems, cabinets with a maximum of functions in a minimum of space, and the EasyWinch plus hose reel system. Disposal cabinets are available in three versions: A1 waste water and freshwater supply only; B1 with additional interior cleaning facilities; C1 with additional equipment storage options and interior cleaning facilities that include automated dispensing of cleaning solutions. The vacuum and water hoses are mounted at a 5 meter high T-shaped supply boom. A combination of a Vogelsang rotary lobe pump and the XRipper twin-shaft macerator ensures reliable pumping and maceration of the waste water into the transport container. A compressor unit opens and closes the valves. An additional high-pressure pump is integrated to flush out the filter cake in the solid matter area of the bioreactor. Various levels of setup and cleaning are possible, because every easybioreact plus system is built as a special design based on customer requirements and the specific bioreactor model. The vehicle, the floor, and the staff are protected from contamination because the easyconnect plus suction coupling is fitted with a specially designed closure system. After the suction procedure, the coupling closes up, with any residue being suctioned out of the coupling automatically so it cannot leak out. The easyconnect plus suction coupling can be fitted with a remote control unit to control valves or for operation of hose reel systems. All operations can then be carried out on the coupling, saving time. The easyconnect plus suction coupling has an integrated swivel joint which prevents twisting and thereby harm to the suction hoses. The system monitors all the elements of the train depot and transfers the operating data live to an online control center. The web-based control center sends you all operational information in real time, including: washing bays, brake test facilities, point heating, water supply, air pressure, and central pumping systems. VEBSys documents the status of all Vogelsang systems live: the suction in the vacuum system, the heating of the double pump stations, T-systems and cleaner cabinets, and the levels in the Bioreact plus bioreactor cleaning unit. You can also monitor third party systems which are interface-compatible: compressors, heating systems, or washing facilities. The functions are monitored by integrated AIRBag or VEBSys modules, which are also used for local control of the systems. The system approaches a critical condition because of the risk of freezing. An alarm is sent automatically to the staff in the service depot, who can remedy the fault before greater damage is caused. VEBSys modules for authorization and control The VEBSys modules offer a further option to increase system reliability and to improve service quality. These modules restrict the use of a system to a defined group of users, and create reports about users, usage times, and the system, for simple and convenient quality control and billing. In addition to authorization, VEBSys modules can also be used for control. On the T-systems for supply and disposal for rail coaches, for example, the VEBSys modules control the valves on the supply and disposal hoses, preventing the freshwater from being contaminated by operator error. This uniquely identifies the coach moving past and pinpoints its location. UICScan can be integrated easily into train station or depot operations. The train does not need to reduce its speed in the train station or depot for scanning. The vehicle number is recorded reliably at vehicle speeds of up to 80 km/h. The UICScan system also includes an axle counter. This combination can also document the speed as well as the vehicle number. Typical areas of use include train entry and exit points at train stations, as well as service and maintenance stations or washing bays where other companies coaches are serviced, requiring individual calculation of costs.
