Close attention is necessary when used by or near children. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer s recommended attachments. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center. Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present. Sparks inside the motor can ignite flammable vapors or dust. To avoid health hazards from vapors or dusts, do not vacuum toxic materials. Do not use without filters in place. To avoid damage to your vacuum cleaner, storage should always be indoors, never outside. Keep in an area where the temperature never exceeds 100 F. Keep the charging bracket and cord where they will not be subjected to heat or flame. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. Do not use with a damaged charging cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not use any charger other than the one provided by the manufacturer. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk of personal injury. Do not place the vacuum nozzle or floor brush (or any other attachments), near face, eyes or ears during operation. To obtain a sufficient charge, avoid charging the vacuum cleaner battery pack in room temperatures below 50 F or above 104 F. Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and charger terminals with wet hands. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord. Do not charge the unit outdoors. 14 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac Safety This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lacking in experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from such a person regarding the use of the appliance. Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Please read the user s manual carefully prior to operating the appliance. You will find a series of important and useful instructions. Store the user s manual in a safe place and ensure that it is passed on along with the appliance. Keep the packing film away from children - Danger of asphyxiation! Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Only use original accessories! Not using original accessories may result in an increased risk of accidents. There is no liability for any accidents or damages resulting from the use of non-original accessories. Use of non-original accessories which results in damages to the device voids any guarantee claims. A damaged connecting cable cannot be replaced. Dispose of a damaged power adaptor (charger) and replace it with a power adaptor (charger) of the same type. The device may only be charged with the provided power adaptor (charger) and the charging station. Use the power adaptor (charger) only for charging the 2-in-1 Battery Pack and Hand-held Vacuum Cleaner (NiMH battery pack 9.6 V DC; 1400mAh). Under no circumstances try to charge non-rechargeable batteries! Risk of explosion! Do not attempt opening or dismantling the shell of the battery pack it would destroy the battery pack! When you get in contact with battery acid rinse the respective body parts immediately with plenty of clear water and consult a physician immediately! Do not use with defective nozzle or floor brush this risks damage to the to-be- cleaned device. To avoid danger never operate the device with removed or damaged dust filter. Use the device only if and when both functioning filters have been inserted. Use the vacuum only with completely dried filters. To avoid danger please turn off device completely before you attach or detach/replace accessories. 16 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac USER INSTRUCTIONS User instructions PRIOR TO FIRST USE WARNING After unpacking, check the device and ensure that all parts are complete and for any potential transport damage to avoid any hazards. In case of any doubt, do not use the device and contact our customer service. The service addresses are listed in our warranty terms and on the warranty card. Your device has been packaged to protect it from any potential transport damage. Carefully remove the device from its original packaging. Remove all packaging. Clean the device and all accessories and remove all remaining dust from the packaging as described in Chapter MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND CARE. 15 AFTER SALES SUPPORT

17 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac DEVICE ASSEMBLY Device assembly Assembly: Grasp the base (21) of the charger station and insert the charger holder (22) into the opening intended for this purpose as shown in the adjoining illustration until you can hear and feel the holder click into place. Now insert the floor nozzle (18) into the end of the upright vacuum cleaner frame. Make sure that both metal pins of the floor nozzle are inserted into the openings of the frame. Press both parts together to the end stop. The parts must audibly click together. To remove the floor nozzle (18), press the lock (17) and pull it away from the upright vacuum cleaner frame. Now place the vacuum cleaner upright into the charger station by inserting it from above as shown in the adjoining illustration (see illustration E). If you want to remove the upright vacuum cleaner from the charger station, lift it up slightly and pull it toward the front. NOTICE The basic unit of the upright vacuum cleaner has a folding handle that allows you to store it conveniently after use (see illustration C). Fold the handle (14) upward until you can hear and feel it click into place. If you want to fold the handle (14) down, you first have to press the release button (15). 18 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac NOTICE Charging the batteries: Preparing the device Your 2-in-1 appliance can be used as an upright vacuum cleaner and also has a removable hand-held vacuum cleaner. You can choose how you want to use the device, depending on the work you have to do. Please note, however, that the upright vacuum cleaner can operate only if the hand-held vacuum cleaner is properly inserted. NOTICE WARNING Charge the appliance about 14 hours before using for the first time. Make sure that all devices are switched off before inserting the hand-held vacuum cleaner into the upright vacuum cleaner frame and before starting charging. CAUTION Make sure that no objects or liquids lie between the contacts of the hand-held vacuum cleaner and the upright vacuum cleaner. The contacts must always remain clean and free of any other material. The same applies to the contacts of the charger holder and upright vacuum cleaner. NOTICE Note that the charger holder of the charger station must always be stable and mounted vertically (with the base of the charger station on a level and stable surface). Otherwise it is possible that the contacts of the charger holder and upright vacuum cleaner can improperly touch one another, thus preventing successful charging. To charge the battery pack, first place the hand-held vacuum cleaner (as described below) into the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner. 17 AFTER SALES SUPPORT hup-service@h-u-p.com

19 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac Product use Secure the hand-held vacuum cleaner in the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner by first inserting the tip into the opening intended for this purpose (the suction nozzle (9) must be inserted); then press the top side of the hand-held vacuum cleaner to the frame until you hear and feel it click into place (see illustration B). Now place the upright vacuum cleaner into the charger station. Make sure that it is properly inserted, otherwise the unit will not charge. Now connect the charger to the charger station and holder (22) by inserting the charger plug into the charger socket on the side of the charger holder (22) (see illustration D). Now plug the charger into a suitable electrical socket. The charging indicator light (4) will flash indicating that the unit is charging. When the charging indicator light (4) is continuously illuminated, charging is finished. Removing the hand-held vacuum cleaner To remove the hand-held vacuum cleaner from the upright vacuum cleaner, press the release button (16). Tip the top slightly forward and remove the hand-held vacuum cleaner upwards from the upright vacuum cleaner. 1 2 STARTING THE APPLIANCE WARNING Under no circumstances vacuum up: Toner, plaster, cement, stone dust, drilling dust, toxic or explosive material, hot ash, burning cigarettes or matches, sharp objects such as glass splinters or liquids! 20 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac Using the upright vacuum cleaner: Product use NOTICE The appliance functions as an upright vacuum cleaner only when the hand-held vacuum cleaner has been properly inserted into the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner. To switch on, slide the On/Off switch of the upright vacuum cleaner (13) to the I position. The motor will start to operate and the appliance will vacuum. Carefully slide and pull the floor nozzle (18) across the surface to be cleaned and into corners, as needed. 20 NOTICE NOTICE On its underside, the floor nozzle has an additional brush roller, which together with the vacuum function provides optimum cleaning results. The appliance must be switched off after each use as well as prior to attaching or removing accessories. Let the unit cool down to room temperature before cleaning and/or storage. Switch the device off by sliding the On/Off switch of the upright vacuum cleaner (13) to the 0 position. Return the device to the charger station. Using the hand-held vacuum cleaner: NOTICE NOTICE When removing the hand-held vacuum cleaner, the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner and floor nozzle must be attached to the charger station and should remain there while the hand-held vacuum cleaner is in use to avoid accidental tipping. The hand-held vacuum cleaner has an adjustable suction nozzle. Depend on what you want to do, you can pull the nozzle out a little in order to access corners or joints better, for example. 19 AFTER SALES SUPPORT hup-service@h-u-p.com

21 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac Product use Remove the hand-held vacuum cleaner from the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner as described above. If you wish to use the longer suction nozzle (9), pull it forward out of the unit until you hear and feel it click into place and it is locked in position. To shorten the suction nozzle (9) again, that is, to push it back into place, press the lock (10) on the underside (see lower figure) and then slide the suction nozzle (9) back into the original position. Locking Press the On/Off switch (3) forward. The unit will begin to vacuum. To switch the unit off again, slide the On/Off switch (3) back into its initial position. NOTICE The appliance must be switched off after each use as well as prior to attaching or removing accessories. Let the appliance cool to room temperature before cleaning and/or storing it. Switch the unit off by sliding the On/Off switch (3) back into its initial position. Secure the hand-held vacuum cleaner in the frame of the upright vacuum cleaner once again by first inserting the tip into the opening intended for this purpose (the suction nozzle (9) must be pushed inward); then press the top side of the hand-held vacuum cleaner until you hear and feel it click into place. 22 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK: Product use Note: You must dispose of the battery packs separately from other appliance components. If the battery is worn out, remove the battery packs and dispose of them according to regulations (see chapter Disposal ). CAUTION Do not make an electrically-conductive connection between the battery contacts. This poses the risk of shortcircuit. NOTICE The appliance contains 2 battery packs. To remove the battery packs, separate both halves of the housing of the hand-held vacuum cleaner. Separate the hand-held vacuum cleaner from the upright vacuum cleaner prior to removing the battery packs. Operate the hand-held vacuum cleaner until it no longer functions. With a suitable screwdriver, now loosen the screws on the side of the basic unit (1) housing. In doing so, the dust bowl (8) must be removed from the basic unit (1), so that all screws are accessible and the half sections of the housing can be separated from one another. Remove the housing half section. Disconnect the wiring connections and remove the battery packs. Dispose of the battery packs according to regulations. 21 AFTER SALES SUPPORT hup-service@h-u-p.com

23 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac TROUBLESHOOTING Troubleshooting Defect: Device shows no function. Cause: The battery pack is empty. The device is not switched on. Remedy: Charge battery pack. Press the respective On/Off button to switch on the device. Suction power is weak. Dust bowl is full. Filter not properly inserted or dirty. Empty dust bowl. Insert filter correctly or clean it. In case of malfunctions not listed here, please contact our customer service. Our customer service representatives will be glad to assist you with any questions. 24 MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND CARE WARNING WARNING Maintenance, Cleaning and Care Always remove the power adaptor from the electrical outlet before cleaning and allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning and storing it! Danger of electric shock! Always ensure that no liquid penetrates inside the appliance or the power adapter. Never submerge the unit and power adapter in water! Danger of electric shock! CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION Never use harsh or abrasive cleaning materials or sharpedged items to clean the appliance. Do not clean filters in the dishwasher. Do not use hot water, detergent or brushes to clean the filters. Make sure that all filters are completely dry before the next use. Let the filters air-dry only; never use any heating appliances. A moist or wet filter can reduce the suction power or even damage the electronic components. WARNING Make sure that the device is not accidentally switched on during cleaning. This can cause injuries! NOTICE Clean the air outlets as well as the filters at regular intervals. If you notice reduced performance of the unit, this is frequently a sign that the filters and/or air outlets should be cleaned. To clean the equipment exterior and dust bowl (8), use a dry or moderately damp, well wrung-out cloth. Then wipe thoroughly dry. 25 Maintenance, Cleaning and Care Cleaning the floor nozzle (18): Occasionally clean the underside of the floor nozzle (18) with the handheld vacuum cleaner. NOTICE If very dirty, the brush roller can be removed from the floor nozzle and cleaned separately. To remove the brush roller (20), do the following. With a suitable screwdriver, open the screw of the locking flap on the underside of the floor nozzle (18) and remove the locking flap upwards. Push the toothed belt off the brush roller (20) gear wheel and remove the brush roller (20) from the floor nozzle (18). Thoroughly clean the dirt and other fouling from the brush roller (20). Then reinsert the brush roller (20) into the floor nozzle (18) by first inserting the side facing away from the toothed belt, then place the toothed belt back onto the gear wheel. Finally insert the brush roller (20) properly. Close the locking flap again and tighten the screw. Check that the brush roller rotates freely. Emptying the dust bowl (8): We recommend cleaning the dust bowl (8) each time you vacuum, otherwise the suction power will be reduced. 11 1) Pull the release lever (11) to the front and hold it. 2) Unlock the dust bowl (8) by turning it to the left. 3) Remove the dust bowl (8) from the basic unit (1). 4) Remove the fine dust filter (6) from the dust bowl (8). 5) Remove the coarse dust filter (7) from the dust bowl (8). 26 Maintenance, Cleaning and Care 6) Empty the dust bowl (8) into a trash receptacle. Carefully tap out any remaining dust. 7) If you do not wish to clean the filters, first insert the coarse dust filter (7) and then the fine dust filter (6) back into the dust bowl (8). The shape of the filters will indicate how they should be inserted. 8) Place the dust bowl (8) back onto the basic unit (1) and lock it in place by turning it slightly to the right. Cleaning the filters (6+7): WARNING Do not use detergents. Filters must be dry when inserted. Clean the filters (6+7) in the inside of the dust bowl (8) regularly. Clean the filters as follows: Remove the respective filter as described above. Tap the filters above a trash receptacle. If heavily contaminated, clean the filter thoroughly with water (no hotter than lukewarm), then dry completely. After the filter has been cleaned and dried, place it precisely into the dust bowl (8) as previously. 25 AFTER SALES SUPPORT hup-service@h-u-p.com

28 Rechargeable Stick Vac/Hand Vac WARRANTY CONDITIONS Warranty Dear Customer, The Aldi warranty offers you extensive benefits compared to the statutory obligation arising from a warranty: Warranty period: Costs: 2 years from date of purchase 6 months for wear parts and consumables under normal and proper conditions of use (e.g. rechargeable batteries). Free repair/exchange or refund. No transport costs. ADVICE: Please contact our service hotline by phone, or fax before sending in the device. This allows us to provide support in the event of possible operator errors. In order to make a claim under the warranty, please send us: together with the faulty item the original receipt and the warranty card properly completed. the faulty product with all components included in the packaging. The warranty does not cover damage caused by: Accident or unanticipated events. (e.g. lightning, water, fire). Improper use or transport. Disregard of the safety and maintenance instructions. Other improper treatment or modification. After the expiry of the warranty period, you still have the possibility to have your product repaired at your own expense. If the repair or the estimate of costs is not free of charge you will be informed accordingly in advance. This warranty does not limit the statutory obligation of the seller arising from a warranty. The period of warranty can only be extended in accordance with a legal standard. In countries where a (compulsory) warranty and/or spare part storage and/or a system for compensation are/is required by law, the statutory minimum conditions apply. No aspire nada encendido ni que emita humo, como cigarrillos, fósforos o cenizas calientes. No utilizar al aire libre o en superficies mojadas. Para evitar peligros para la salud causados por vapores o polvos, no aspire materiales tóxicos. No usar sin colocar los filtros. Para evitar daños a la aspiradora, siempre debe almacenarla en interiores, jamás en exteriores. Manténgala en un área donde la temperatura nunca exceda los 100 F. Mantenga el soporte de carga y el cable donde no esté sujeta al calor o llamas. No jalar o transportar tomado del cable, no usar el cable a modo de asa, no pellizcar el cable con una puerta ni jalar del cable por esquinas o bordes afilados. No aplastar el cable con el aparato. Mantener el cable de alimentación lejos de las superficies calientes. No use ningún aparato con un cable o enchufe dañado, después de una avería o si se ha caído o dañado de cualquier manera. Devuelva el aparato al centro de servicio técnico autorizado más cercano para su revisión, reparación o ajuste eléctrico o mecánico. No utilice ningún otro tipo de cargador que no sea el proporcionado por el fabricante. El uso de accesorios no recomendados por el fabricante puede causar riesgo de lesiones personales. Este aparato no está diseñado para ser utilizado por personas (incluidos niños) con capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales disminuidas; o con falta de experiencia y conocimiento, a menos que hayan recibido supervisión o instrucciones relativas al uso del mismo por una persona responsable de su seguridad. Bajo ninguna circunstancia intente cargar pilas no recargables! Riesgo de explosión! No intente abrir o desmantelar la protección de las pilas las destruiría! Riesgo de fugas! Debe quitar las pilas con fugas o dañadas del dispositivo de inmediato. Evite el contacto con la piel, ojos y membranas mucosas. Si se pone en contacto con el ácido de la pila enjuague las partes del cuerpo correspondientes de inmediato con abundante agua limpia y acuda a un médico de inmediato! No usar con boquillas o cepillos para piso averiados esto podría causar daños al dispositivo a limpiar. Para evitar riesgos nunca opere el dispositivo con filtros de polvo dañados o sin ellos. Use el dispositivo solo si y cuando ambos filtros estén insertados. Use la aspiradora solo con filtros totalmente secos. Para evitar riesgos apague el dispositivo por completo antes de fijar o quitar/reemplazar accesorios. Cargue las pilas solamente con el adaptador de energía (cargador) proporcionado y la estación de carga. 39 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Instrucciones para el usuario INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL USUARIO ANTES DEL PRIMER USO ADVERTENCIA Después de desembalar al dispositivo, examínelo y asegúrese de que todas las piezas están completas y no sufrieron ningún daño en el transporte para evitar cualquier peligro. En caso de cualquier duda, no use al dispositivo y póngase en contacto con nuestro servicio al cliente. 40 Aspiradora vertical / de mano MONTAJE DEL DISPOSITIVO Montaje del dispositivo Ensamblaje: Tome la base (21) de la estación de carga e inserte el soporte del cargador (22) en la abertura diseñada para este propósito como se muestra en la ilustración adyacente hasta que pueda oir y sentir que el soporte encaja en su lugar. Ahora inserte la boquilla para piso (18) en el extremo de la aspiradora vertical. Asegúrese de que ambas guías metálicas de la boquilla para piso estén insertadas en las aberturas del marco. Haga presión en ambas piezas hasta llegar al tope. Oirá cuando las piezas encajen. Para quitar la boquilla para piso (18), presione la traba (17) y jálela de la aspiradora vertical. Ahora coloque la aspiradora vertical en la estación de carga insertándola desde arriba como se muestra en la ilustración adyacente (ver la ilustración E). Si desea quitar la aspiradora vertical de la estación de carga, levántela un poco y jálela hacia el frente. NOTA La unidad base de la aspiradora vertical tiene un mango plegable que le permite almacenarlo de forma cómoda después de su uso (ver la ilustración C). Pliegue el mango (14) hacia arriba hasta que pueda oír y sentir que encaja. Si desea plegar el mango (14) hacia abajo, primero debe presionar el botón de liberación (15). 41 Aspiradora vertical / de mano NOTA Cargar las pilas: Preparación del dispositivo Su aplicación 2 en 1 se puede usar como aspiradora vertical y como aspiradora de mano desmontable. Puede elegir cómo desea usar el dispositivo en función de la tarea que debe realizar. No obstante, observe que la aspiradora vertical solo funcionará si la aspiradora de mano está insertada correctamente. NOTA Cargue el aparato por aproximadamente 14 horas antes de usarlo por primera vez. ADVERTENCIA Asegúrese de que todos los dispositivos estén apagados antes de insertar la aspiradora de mano en el marco de la aspiradora vertical y antes de comenzar la carga. PRECAUCIÓN Asegúrese de que no haya objetos o líquidos entre los contactos de la aspiradora de mano y la aspiradora vertical. Los contactos deben estar siempre limpios y libres de cualquier obstrucción. Aplica lo mismo a los contactos del soporte del cargador y de la aspiradora vertical. NOTA Observe que el soporte del cargador de la estación de carga debe estar siempre nivelado y montado en vertical (con la base de la estación de carga sobre una superficie nivelada y estable). De lo contrario es posible que los contactos del soporte del cargador y de la aspiradora vertical no hagan contacto y que no se cargue correctamente. 42 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Uso del producto Fije la aspiradora de mano al marco de la aspiradora vertical insertando primero la punta en la abertura destinada a este propósito (se debe insertar la boquilla de succión (9)); luego presione el lado superior de la aspiradora de mano contra el marco hasta que escuche y sienta que encaja en su lugar (ver la ilustración B). Ahora coloque la aspiradora vertical en la estación de carga. Asegúrese de que esté insertada correctamente; de lo contrario, la unidad no cargará. Ahora conecte el cargador a la estación de carga y al soporte (22) insertando el enchufe del cargador en la ranura del cargador en el lateral del soporte del cargador (22) (ver la ilustración D). Ahora conecte el cargador a un tomacorriente adecuado. La luz indicadora de carga (4) parpadeará indicando que la unidad se está cargando. Cuando la luz indicadora de carga (4) está encendida fija, la carga habrá acabado. Quitar la aspiradora de mano Para quitar la aspiradora de mano de la aspiradora vertical, presione el botón de liberación (16). Incline la parte superior ligeramente hacia adelante y quite la aspiradora de mano de la aspiradora vertical jalando hacia arriba. ENCENDER EL APARATO 2 1 Bajo ninguna circunstancia aspire: Tóner, yeso, cemento, grava, aserrín, materiales tóxicos o explosivos, cenizas calientes, cigarrillos o fósforos encendidos, objetos ADVERTENCIA filosos, como fragmentos de vidrio, o líquidos. 43 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Usar la aspiradora vertical: Uso del producto NOTA El aparato funciona como aspiradora vertical solo cuando la aspiradora de mano está colocada correctamente en el marco de la aspiradora vertical. Para encenderla, deslice el interruptor de encendido/apagado de la aspiradora vertical (13) a la posición I. El motor comenzará a funcionar y el aparato aspirará. Deslice con cuidado y jale la boquilla para piso (18) por la superficie que desea limpiar y por las esquinas, según lo necesite. 20 NOTA NOTA En el lado inferior, la boquilla para piso posee un rodillo del cepillo adicional, que junto con la función de aspirado proporciona resultados óptimos de limpieza. El aparato se debe apagar después de cada uso y antes de conectar o quitar accesorios. Deje que la unidad se enfríe a temperatura ambiente antes de limpiarla y/o almacenarla. Para apagar el dispositivo, deslice el interruptor de encendido/apagado de la aspiradora vertical (13) a la posición 0. Regrese el dispositivo a la estación de carga. Usar la aspiradora de mano: NOTA NOTA Al quitar la aspiradora de mano, el marco de la aspiradora vertical y la boquilla para piso deben estar en la estación de carga y deben permanecer allí mientras utiliza la aspiradora de mano para evitar tropezar por accidente. La aspiradora de mano posee una boquilla de succión ajustable. En función de lo que desee hacer, puede jalar la boquilla un poco para acceder a esquinas o uniones con mayor facilidad. 44 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Uso del producto Quite la aspiradora de mano del marco de la aspiradora vertical como se describe arriba. Si desea usar la boquilla de succión más larga (9) jálela hacia afuera de la unidad hasta que escuche y sienta que encaja en su lugar y esté en posición de bloqueo. Para volver a acortar la boquilla de succión (9), es decir, para volver a colocarla en su lugar, presione la traba (10) en el lado inferior (ver la figura debajo) y luego deslice la boquilla de succión (9) de regreso a su posición original. Bloqueo Presione el interruptor de encendido/apagado (3) hacia adelante. La unidad comenzará a aspirar. Para volver a apagar la unidad, deslice el interruptor de encendido/ apagado (3) de regreso a su posición original. NOTA El aparato se debe apagar después de cada uso y antes de conectar o quitar accesorios. Deje que el aparato se enfríe a temperatura ambiente antes de limpiarlo y/o almacenarlo. Apague la unidad deslizando el interruptor de encendido/apagado (3) de regreso a su posición original. Fije la aspiradora de mano al marco de la aspiradora vertical nuevamente insertando primero la punta en la abertura destinada a este propósito (se debe insertar la boquilla de succión (9)); luego presione el lado superior de la aspiradora de mano contra el marco hasta que escuche y sienta que encaja en su lugar. 43 SERVICO POSVENTA hup-service@h-u-p.com

45 Aspiradora vertical / de mano QUITAR LAS PILAS: Uso del producto Nota: Debe deshacerse de las pilas por separado de las demás piezas del aparato. Si las pilas están desgastadas, quite las pilas y deséchelas de acuerdo con las regulaciones (consulte el capítulo Eliminación ). PRECAUCIÓN No haga una conexión de conductividad eléctrica entre los contactos de las pilas. Esto genera el riesgo de cortocircuito. NOTA El aparato contiene 2 pilas. Para quitar las pilas, separe ambas mitades de la carcasa de la aspiradora de mano. Separe la aspiradora de mano de la aspiradora vertical antes de quitar las pilas. Utilice la aspiradora de mano hasta que ya no funcione. Con un destornillador adecuado, afloje los tornillos en el lado de la carcasa de la unidad base (1). Al hacerlo, se debe quitar el recipiente de polvo (8) de la unidad base (1), de forma tal que todos los tornillos queden accesibles y las secciones medias de la carcasa se puedan separar. Quite la sección media de la carcasa. Desconecte las conexiones cableadas y quite las pilas. Deseche las pilas de acuerdo con las regulaciones. SERVICO POSVENTA hup-service@h-u-p.com

46 Aspiradora vertical / de mano SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Resolución de problemas Error: El dispositivo no funciona. Causa: La pila no tiene carga. El dispositivo está apagado. Solución: Cargue las pilas. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado respectivo para encender el dispositivo. Poder de succión reducido. El recipiente de polvo está lleno. El filtro no está insertado correctamente o está sucio. Vacíe el recipiente de polvo. Inserte el filtro correctamente o límpielo. En caso de desperfectos no mencionados aquí, póngase en contacto con nuestro servicio al cliente. 47 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Mantenimiento, limpieza y cuidado MANTENIMIENTO, LIMPIEZA Y CUIDADO Siempre quite el adaptador de energía del tomacorriente y espere a que el aparato se enfríe completamente antes ADVERTENCIA de limpiarlo y almacenarlo. Peligro de descarga eléctrica! Siempre asegúrese de que no ingresen líquidos al interior del aparato o del adaptador de energía. Nunca sumerja la unidad y el adaptador de energía en agua! Peligro de ADVERTENCIA descarga eléctrica! PRECAUCIÓN PRECAUCIÓN PRECAUCIÓN Nunca use materiales de limpieza abrasivos ni objetos con bordes filosos para limpiar el aparato. No limpie los filtros en el lavavajillas. No use agua caliente, detergente ni cepillos para limpiar los filtros. Asegúrese de que todos los filtros estén completamente secos antes del próximo uso. Deje que los filtros se sequen al aire; nunca use aparatos con calefacción. Un filtro húmedo o mojado puede reducir el poder de succión o incluso dañar las piezas electrónicas. Asegúrese de que el dispositivo no se encienda accidentalmente durante la limpieza. Esto puede causar lesiones! ADVERTENCIA NOTA Limpie las salidas de aire y los filtros frecuentemente. Si nota una reducción en el rendimiento de la unidad, esto suele significar que los filtros y/o las salidas de aire necesitan limpieza. Para limpiar el exterior del equipo y el recipiente de polvo (8), use un paño seco o apenas húmedo y bien escurrido. Luego seque a fondo. 48 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Limpiar la boquilla para piso (18): Mantenimiento, limpieza y cuidado Limpie ocasionalmente el lado inferior de la boquilla para piso (18) con la aspiradora de mano. Si se ensucia mucho, se puede quitar el rodillo del cepillo de la boquilla para piso para limpiarlo por separado. NOTA Para quitar el rodillo del cepillo (20), haga lo siguiente. Con un destornillador adecuado, afloje el tornillo de la pestaña de bloqueo debajo de la boquilla para piso (18) y quite la pestaña de bloqueo jalando hacia arriba. Quite la cinta dentada el engranaje del rodillo del cepillo (20) y quite el rodillo (20) de la boquilla para piso (18). Limpie a fondo el rodillo del cepillo (20) para quitar la suciedad. Luego vuelva a colocar el rodillo del cepillo (20) en la boquilla para piso (18) insertando primero el lado opuesto a la cinta dentada, y luego coloque la cinta dentada en el engranaje. Por último, inserte el rodillo del cepillo (20) correctamente. Cierre la pestaña de bloqueo y ajuste el tornillo. Verifique que el rodillo del cepillo gire con libertad. Vaciar el recipiente de polvo (8): Recomendamos limpiar el recipiente de polvo (8) cada vez que aspire, de lo contrario se podría reducir el poder de succión. 11 1) Jale la palanca de liberación (11) hacia el frente y sosténgala. 2) Destrabe el recipiente de polvo (8) girándolo hacia la izquierda. 3) Quite el recipiente de polvo (8) de la unidad base (1). 4) Quite el filtro para polvo delgado (6) del recipiente de polvo (8). 5) Quite el filtro para polvo grueso (7) del recipiente de polvo (8). 47 SERVICO POSVENTA hup-service@h-u-p.com

49 Aspiradora vertical / de mano Mantenimiento, limpieza y cuidado 6) Vacíe el recipiente de polvo (8) en un recipiente de basura. Con cuidado golpee el recipiente para que caiga el polvo restante. 7) Si no desea limpiar los filtros, primero inserte el filtro para polvo grueso (7) y luego el filtro para polvo delgado (6) nuevamente en el recipiente de polvo (8). La forma de los filtros indicará cómo los debe insertar. 8) Coloque el recipiente de polvo (8) de regreso en la unidad base (1) y trábelo en su lugar girándolo levemente hacia la derecha. Limpiar los filtros (6+7): ADVERTENCIA No use detergentes. Los filtros deben estar secos cuando los inserte. Limpie los filtros (6+7) en el interior del recipiente de polvo (8) con frecuencia. Limpie los filtros de la siguiente manera: Quite el filtro correspondiente como se describe arriba. Golpetee los filtros encima de un recipiente de basura. Si está muy sucio, limpie el filtro a fondo con agua (no más caliente que tibia) y luego séquelo por completo.
