6 Science behind e-cloth It is e-cloth s raw materials, fiber composition, fiber size, fiber processing and density of fibers that allows e-cloth to achieve extraordinary cleaning and drying, outperforming all other cleaning cloths. Fiber Composition. Most e-cloths are made from polyester and polyamide (nylon). The highest quality raw materials in the world are used to make the micro-size polyester and polyamide fibers. Fiber Size. Unlike ordinary cloths, e-cloth fibers are designed and fabricated to provide maximum cleaning and drying power. Primarily made from polyester and polyamide, the tiny e-cloth fibers are 1,000 times finer than cotton fibers or up to 1/200th diameter of a human hair. The fibers are the smallest in the world that can be made by man. Fiber Processing. During production, polyester fibers are split into eight pie shape filaments and polyamide fibers are split into an axle with eight spokes. The polyester pie shape filaments are combined with the polyamide to form a fiber that is up to 1/200th diameter of a human hair. Fiber Density. Each e-cloth is fabricated to have as many as 3.1 million fiber strands per square inch of cloth. 7 The right e-cloth for the job Glass & Polishing The tight weave of the Glass & Polishing makes it a perfect glass cleaning and finishing cloth, and is used to add a polish to glass, mirrors, and all shiny surfaces. Caring for your e-cloths Check washing instructions for each cloth prior to laundering as some of the cloths need to be washed in cold water before use. Washing instructions can be found on the stitched-in label. In general, most cloths follow these instructions. DAILY: Rinse the e-cloth out under warm to hot water after each use and continue to use or hang to dry. This will rinse out everything that was trapped in the cloth. WEEKLY: Always wash your e-cloth according to the packaging directions as there are variations between the different cloths. Wash e-cloths in warm or hot water in the washing machine with regular detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener or dryer sheet. Bleach will destroy the fibers and fabric softener and dryer sheets clog the fibers. Wash once a week and enjoy using e-cloths for nearly six years. 7
