4 1 Description Use the 2.0 to quickly mount bypass filter units on hydraulic installations. This component can be mounted on installations with ventilation filter whose connections conform to DIN 24557/T2. 7 2.3 Mounting instructions Please proceed according to the following order: Return pipe has to be mounted in order to assure that the end of the pipe reaches beneath the oil level in the tank. Insert the return pipe into the adapter and fix it with the setscrew. It is possible to additionally glue it in place Suction pipe has to be fitted as far from the return pipe as possible (see drawing in ch. 1). Screw suction pipe into the adapter and glue it in place. If the suction pipe is too short add an oil resistant hose using a pipe clamp to connect it to the pipe. (hose not shown on the picture). HYDAC Filtertechnik GmbH page 7 of 9

8 2.3.3 Ventilation filter Dismount ventilation filter of hydraulic unit Seal Remove seal from tank cover and clean surface. Put new seal in place Adapter has to be mounted on oil tank with fillister head machine screws M5 x 120 and seal Suction and return connection Connect S to the suction connection and R to the return connection of the bypass filter unit.
