3 VentsUS.com Select the correct Recovery Ventilation type (Heat Recovery Ventilation) HRV IIf you use a heating system more often than air conditioning, you need an HRV. Heat recovery systems have been designed to recover the heat contained in the extract air. Heat energy Latent energy (humidity) ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) If you use air conditioning more often than heating, an ERV is recommended. The enthalpic core of the ERV transfers heat and moisture from the intake air to the extract air. The air brought into the living area is cooled and the humidity is reduced for maximum comfort. The load on your air conditioner drops and you save on cooling costs. TRV (Twin Recovery Ventilation) TRV has the benefits of both HRV and ERV. You save heating in winter and air conditioning costs in summer. Moreover, you enjoy air with balanced humidity for maximum comfort. 4 How do HRV, ERV and TRV Systems work? HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation) The fresh incoming air absorbs the heat from the air being extracted. This fresh warm air is then circulated back into the home or building. 5 VentsUS.com Types of installation Independent System installation In this application the ductworks are used to supply fresh air to bedrooms and living areas and extract stale air from the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. Exhaust at the source and supply in the return This application uses a separate duct system to extract air from the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. 6 Centralized Recovery Ventilators VUT 200 H mini A Heat Recovery Ventilator is a complete whole house ventilation system designed to bring a continuous supply of fresh air into the house while exhausting an equal amount of contaminated air. The HRV ventilators utilize the sensible energy in the heat recovery core. The special polymer core transfers heat from the extract air stream to the intake air stream so you save on energy costs. Reverse mode (regeneration) at low speed with air capacity 20.6 CFM; 4. Reverse mode (regeneration) at high speed with air capacity 34.1 CFM The required operation mode is selected using the control panel supplied with the model TwinFresh SA. Warm stale air is extracted from the room passing through the ceramic accumulator, which captures up to 91% of the thermal energy of the air being extracted. As the thermostat is off the unit is switched to STANDBY mode. The product also provides proportional-integral temperature regulation of fancoil dampers, equipment for zonal heating in commercial applications and transfers air conditioning control signals.
