The system plates ensure precisely defined clearances between the pipes, which in turn provides a uniform temperature profile across the floor. Combination of underfloor heating and radiators If you want to install underfloor heating and radiators in a building, System 70 by ROTEX is the right choice. Developed specifically for this type of combined application, System 70 provides all the radiator connections in addition to the underfloor heating system all running off a single water cycle. 4 The structure of the system. The system plates The ROTEX Monopex underfloor heating system is built up using system plates. Protect 2. Protect mini System plate Protect The Protect system plates have a twosheet structure. The heat insulation and low-noise flooring are made of polystyrene, as are the naps. The top covering sheet is made of deep-drawn grey polystyrene. This polystyrene covering layer projects at two side walls to overlap the system plate next to it. This creates a thick bond which acts as an excellent sealant, even in the case of a very fluid flow screed. This entire nap surface has excellent weight-bearing properties. It can be walked over several times without the plate suffering any damage. For apartment separation ceilings, the Protect-Integral 33-3 with integrated heat and impact sound insulation is used. 5 The heating pipe, the control. 20 years' experience The heating pipe is at the heart of any hot water underfloor heating system. The ROTEX Monopex underfloor heating system uses the ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD heating pipe a plastic pipe made of crosslinked polyethylene. ROTEX has manufactured PE-X heating pipes for more than 20 years and is today one of the leading pipe manufacturers. 50 Years of safety PE-X Pipes have proved to be absolutely durable, safe and reliable in the heating sector. The ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD heating pipe is completely corrosion-free and is highly effective in preventing the corrosion of other system parts owing to its oxygen tightness. The ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD heating pipe effectively prevents the build-up of rust in heating pipes as occurs occasionally in systems with pipes which are not oxygen-tight. The ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD heating pipe has an outer diameter of 14 or 17 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm. It is designed with a useful life of 50 years whilst being extremely safe. This provides you with safe flooring. Verified quality The ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD heating pipe is DIN-tested in accordance with DIN The requirements regarding oxygen tightness in accordance with DIN 4726 are comfortably exceeded. As a result, the oxygen permeability of the ROTEX Monopex PE-X/DD pipe is only one tenth of the lower limit specified in DIN 4726 for plastic pipes. And one more thing: Polyethylene is an extremely environmentally friendly material, which means that the small number of pipe ends discarded during the installation process can easily be recycled. Individual heat control and distribution. Electronic room temperature control In rooms which are heated only using floor heating the room temperature is controlled by an electronic single room controller. In rooms which are equipped with floor heating and radiators, all heating surfaces are controlled together by a room temperature controller. This provides maximum comfort at minimum energy consumption. [ 5 ]

Retrofitting underfloor heating - Easily and quickly When modernising existing buildings, one often wishes to incorporate floor heating. This is where ROTEX Monopex comes in: With the Monopex 14 pipe specially developed for this application, floor heating surfaces with very low structural heights can be successfully implemented. Minimum height 29 mm Small and flexible The Combi Box Using a Combi box specially developed for this purpose, you can connect up to two underfloor heating circuits directly. The Combi box for the underfloor heating system can be integrated directly in the room. This eliminates the complexity associated with fitting a manifold for the entire floor. Instead, each room can be fitted with its own small manifold. The ROTEX Protect mini solo carrier element can be fixed with special adhesive on exposed grouting or even directly onto tiles or other stone flooring. The heating pipe is then laid onto the carrier element. The special grout can then be laid with a very thin layer of grouting coverage. The minimum depth of Monopex mini is 29 mm on top of the insulated grouting. 7 ROTEX Monopex on the floor and up the wall. ROTEX Monopex secco The dry system The ROTEX Monopex dry system is an underfloor heating system which is installed using the dry laying process. The heating pipe is placed in the heat conduction elements, which distribute the heat evenly. Instead of the otherwise usual wet screed, dry screed elements are added. These are glued and screwed at the joints. The great advantage of this system is that the final floor covering can be fitted after 24 hours. Wall heating ROTEX Monopex mini can also be fitted as a wall heating system. This is a very pleasant way of having effective wall heated surfaces with a large proportion of heat radiation. Wall heating is often used where floor heating is not possible for building reasons, or where the floor area is not large enough to provide adequate room heating. It is therefore possible to create particularly comfortable areas by using partial wall heating sections, e.g. in a bathroom, and additional radiators are therefore not required. We will then use this information to calculate the heating requirements for the building in accordance with DIN EN Based on this, the heating circuits for each room are laid out and, at the same time, the individual heating circuits are hydraulically balanced. The computer printout provides, in addition to the pitch of the pipes, the number of system plates and all other parts required, such as distributors with clamping ring sets and edge insulation strips.
