3 INSTALLATION Please see installation instructions for aitional information. These instructions can be foun in the box with your thermostat or available for ownloa at WI- FI SETUP AND THERMOSTAT REGISTRATION The Côrt Thermostat provies you the most features an energy savings when connecte to your personal web portal. If your thermostat was not connecte uring installation, touch Menu > Settings > Register Thermostat then follow the on- screen instructions. To save time, we recommen having your home Wi- Fi network passwor an your Internet- connecte smartphone, tablet or laptop close to the thermostat before you begin. Wi- Fi Setup Wi- Fi setup takes about 60 secons for most installations. Your thermostat will isplay a list of all visible Wi- Fi networks along with their signal strength. If your network has a weak signal strength, try moving your router closer to the thermostat. If your network appears in the list: 1. Select your network from the list 2. Touch Next. 3. Enter your passwor, if prompte. 4. After connecting, your thermostat will register itself with the Carrier servers an provie you with a 4- igit coe. 5. Write own the 4- igit coe. You will nee it when registering your Web Portal account. This coe will expire after 1 hour. If your network is not liste, touch Manually configure Wi- Fi an touch Next (you will have to enter your network parameters manually, incluing the Router ID): 1. If your network is passwor- protecte, enter the passwor. 2. This will take you through the manual Wi- Fi set- up process where you will have to enter in information about your network such as if it s DHCP or a static IP, the network SSID name, the encryption, the passwor etc. 3. After connecting, your thermostat will register itself with the Carrier servers an provie you with a 4- igit coe. 4. Write own the 4- igit coe. You will nee it when registering your Web Portal account. This coe will expire after 1 hour. Touch Next to continue. Thermostat Registration After setting up Wi- Fi an obtaining your registration coe, you re reay to register your thermostat. When using your tablet or laptop, use your web browser to go to an click on Login at the top right of the page. Touch the register button next to the image of your thermostat. When using your smartphone, ownloa the free Carrier Côr thermostat app from your evice s app store. Open the app then touch the Register button. Follow the instructions on screen to register an create your personal web portal. 3

5 Touch Screen Your thermostat has a touch screen, similar to that use in smartphones an tablets. Touch items to select or activate them. For menus with a >, touch to isplay aitional options or submenus. Menu Navigation: S Touch Back to return to the previous screen. S Touch Done to return to the Home Screen. 6 USING YOUR THERMOSTAT The bright, easy- to- rea touch screen on your thermostat makes it simple to review an ajust settings any time you want. Ajusting the Temperature Manual Ajustments You can manually ajust the temperature from the Home Screen by touching the up or own arrows. To ajust your cooling set point, touch Cool to, then ajust using the up an own arrows. NOTE: Example shows Auto Moe. You will not see both Heat To an Cool To set points uner other moes. To ajust your heating set point, touch Heat to, then ajust using the up an own arrows. A This manual temperature ajustment will temporarily overrie your scheule. Selecting System Operation Moe The Fan an Moe rop- own menus in the upper right an left corners of the Home Screen allow you to quickly change the operating moe of your system. You can also use the System menu to control the basic operation of your HVAC system, incluing the operation of accessories like humiifiers, ehumiifiers, an ventilators. HVAC System Moe The HVAC System settings isplaye in the Moe rop- own on the Home Screen an System menu epen on the type of system you have. Depening on your system, one or more the following options are shown: S Cool: Turn on cooling when the current temperature rises above your setpoint temperature. S Heat: Turn on heating when the current temperature rops below your setpoint temperature. S Auto: Activate the heating or cooling system as require to keep your home within the configure range of setpoint temperatures. S Aux: Only use the auxiliary or backup heat source to maintain the heat set point temperature. This option only appears if auxiliary heat was configure uring installation. S Off: Turn the system off. When the system is off, only the current temperature an humiity will be isplaye on the Home Screen. On Thermostat an Smartphone App: From the Home Screen, touch Moe in the upper right corner of the screen. OR: touch Menu > System > HVAC Operating Moe On Web Portal: Touch Moe in the upper right corner of the Home Screen tile. OR: touch the My System Tile. A

8 Fan The Fan menu isplays the current fan setting. Depening on your system, one or more of the following options are shown: S On: Fan runs continuously, regarless of the scheule programming. The fan will also run if the System Moe is Off. S Auto: Fan runs when the system is actively heating or cooling your home, or to satisfy the Air Circulation setting. You can temporarily switch between Auto an On. If you o, the fan will operate temporarily at this setting for the length of time that you specifie for your efault Touch- N- Go hol time. On Thermostat an Smartphone App: From the Home Screen, touch Fan in the upper left corner of the screen, OR: touch Menu > System > Fan Moe On Web Portal: Touch Fan in the upper left corner of the Home Screen tile Air Circulation Moe Especially useful in mil weather or seasons when your system is not running frequently, you can use this setting to circulate the air in your home even if your system is not heating or cooling. When the fan is in Auto moe, the thermostat operates accoring to the Air Circulation setting. You can ajust this setting from 0 to 55 minutes. When your system is in heat or cool moe, the fan will always run for this minimum amount of time. A longer fan runtime increases air circulation an results in a more consistent temperature than with the Auto setting alone, while being more cost- effective than the On setting. Your thermostat will meet this minimum time over the hour while making sure it never runs for less than five minutes at a time to reuce energy inefficiencies. On Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. 9 Ajusting Comfort Profiles Your thermostat organizes your temperature an fan settings into ifferent comfort profiles. These profiles are use in your weekly scheule, if you make a change with Touch- N- Go. By efault, your thermostat inclues four configurable activity perios: S Away: Settings for when you are not at home. A14588 S Home: Settings for when you are at home. S Sleep: Settings for when you are sleeping. S Wake: Settings for when you are waking up. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. Touch Menu > Profiles > Temperature Profiles 2. Touch the Comfort Profile you want to customize. 3. Ajust the set points for heat an cool, an fan moe. 4. Touch Save On the Web Portal: 1. Touch Scheule tile. 2. Touch the Comfort Setting you want to customize on the right panel of the tile. 3. Ajust the name, set points for heat an cool, an fan moe. 4. Touch the Upate button. You can also create custom profiles. For example, you can set a warmer temperature on ays you work from home or a cooler temperature when you re working out. You can a your custom Comfort Profile to your weekly scheule. However, they cannot be use in Touch- n- Go on the Home Screen. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. Touch Menu > Profiles > Temperature Profiles 2. Touch the A button. 3. Touch the white box then use the keyboar enter a name for your custom Comfort Profile. 4. Click Next. 5. Ajust the set points for heat an cool an fan moe. 6. Touch Save. On the Web Portal: 1. Touch Scheule tile. 2. Select the New Comfort profile button 3. Enter a name for your custom Comfort Profile. 4. 10 Setting Your Weekly Scheule Your scheule can have a large impact on your heating an cooling system s energy use. But your comfort nees change epening on the time of ay, ay of the week, an if you are at home or away. To help you save on energy while keeping you comfortable, the Côr thermostat is simple an intuitive to program. Guie Scheuling The Guie Scheuling feature guies you through simple questions to program the thermostat to match your scheule an comfort settings to best match your lifestyle. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: A Touch Menu > Scheules > Guie scheule 2. Touch the ay or ays of the week you want to set, then touch Next. 3. Select your wake up time 4. Select the heating an cooling temperatures. 5. Select the fan operation for each. 6. Select whether someone is home all ay or not. 7. Continue selecting times, temperatures an fan settings as requeste in the guie scheule. 8. Touch Save when you complete the scheuling. On the Web Portal: 1. Select the Scheule Tile A Select the Scheule Wizar button 3. Choose the ay or ays of the week you want to set 4. Select the Save button Eit Your Scheule You can use the Guie Scheuling feature to eit your scheule at any time or you can eit your scheule manually. Manually eiting your scheule will also allow you to scheule any custom Comfort Profiles you ve create. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: A Touch Menu > Scheules > View or Eit Scheule 2. To eit the time, touch the time an use the up or own arrows to ajust then touch the Done button. 3. To eit the Comfort Profile scheule, touch the Comfort Profile name then select the Comfort Profile you like to insert. 4. To eit the temperature settings for the Comfort Profile, touch the Heat to/cool to temperatures an ajust your temperature an fan settings then touch Save. 5. To elete a scheule perio, touch the time then touch the Delete button. 6. To a a scheule perio, touch the A button, select a Comfort Profile an a start time. NOTE: The scheule screen can only show 4 scheule perio at a time. If more than 4 perios are scheule, use the left an right arrows next to the time to scroll. On the Web Portal: 1. Select the Scheule tile A To eit the time, select the icon an use the rop own boxes to select a time then select Save. 11

12 3. To eit the temperature settings for the Comfort Profile, select the Comfort Profile an ajust your temperature an fan settings then select Upate. 4. To elete a scheule perio, select the icon, touch the X, then confirm by selecting Delete. 5. To a a scheule perio, select the A Activity button, choose the ay, Comfort Profile, an start time then select Save. Hint: Copying Your Scheule You can copy the entire scheule from one ay to another ay. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: A Touch Menu > Scheules > View or eit scheule. 2. Use the left an right arrows at the top of the screen to fin the ay of the week you want to copy. 3. Touch on the ay of the week you want to copy. 4. Touch each ays you want to have the same scheule. 5. Touch Copy then Save to complete. On the Web Portal: 1. Select the Scheule Tile. A Select the Copy button. 3. Choose the ay you want to copy. 4. Select Next. 5. Select the check box(es) next to ay(s) you want to have the same scheule. 6. Select Save. 12

13 Going on Vacation Your thermostat s Vacation feature helps you conserve energy while you are away for extene perios of time. It also helps ensure your home is comfortable when you return. A vacation event inclues a start ate an time, as well as the en ate an time. You can enter any number of vacations. Using the Vacation feature overries your programme scheule, so you can leave your regular Scheule as- is when you go away for a special or unscheule trip. On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. Touch Menu > Vacation 2. Touch Plan Vacation to create a new vacation event. 3. Enter the eparture time an ate. 4. Enter the hour your leaving by touching the up or own arrow then touch minute an enter minute. 5. Touch Month to enter the month. Day to enter ay an year to enter year 6. Touch Next 7. Select the heat an cool temperatures you want the system to run uring the vacation an the fan setting by touching the corresponing up an own arrows. 8. Repeat with the vacation en ate an time. 9. If the scheule is correct, touch save. If you nee to make changes, touch the area you wish to change or use the back button. 10. To elete the entire vacation, touch the elete button on the top right of the screen. The vacation event is now set. You can ajust it at any time by selecting it from the Vacation menu. To elete a vacation event: 1. Touch Menu > Vacation 2. Select the vacation you want to elete. 3. Touch Delete. To moify an existing vacation event: 1. Touch Menu > Vacation 2. Select the vacation you want to eit 3. Select the start ate, the settings or the en ate to eit them. A

Select Enable or Disable Humiifier The Humiifier menu enables or isables a whole home humiifier, if installe: S On: Run the humiifier to increase the humiity to the configure set point. Select Humiifier There are two options for humiity control: S Manual: you select the humiity set point S Winow Protect: Creates comfortable humiity levels in the home while preventing conensation from forming on your winows. On Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. Touch Menu > Profiles > Humiity Profiles > Humiification Setpoint 2. For manual ajustment, touch Manual then use the up or own arrows to select the esire humiity set point between 5% - 45% 3. To use Winow Protect, touch Winow Protect then use the up or own arrows to select the esire level between 1-7, with 7 being for the most efficient winows. 4. Touch Save On the Web Portal: 1. Select the My System tile 2. Select Humiifier 3. For manual ajustment, touch On then use the slier to select the esire humiity set point between 5% - 45% 4. To use Winow Protect, touch Winow Protect then use the slier to select the esire level between 1-7, with 7 being for the most efficient winows. 5. 16 Dehumiifier The Dehumiifier menu enables or isables a whole home ehumiifier, if installe: S On: Run the ehumiifier to reuce the humiity to the configure set point. S Off: Do not operate the ehumiifier. On Thermostat an Smartphone App: Touch Menu > System > Dehumiifier On the Web Portal: 1. Select the My System tile 2. Select Humiifier To ajust the ehumiification set point: On the Thermostat an Smartphone App: 1. Touch Menu > Profiles > Humiity Profiles > Dehumiification Set point 2. Touch the up or own arrows to select the esire ehumiification set point between 46% - 58% 3. Touch Save On the Web Portal: 1. Select the My System tile 2. Select Dehumiifier 3. Use the slier to select the esire ehumification humiity set point between 46% - 58% 4. Touch the X in the upper right corner to close the winow Ventilator / HRV / ERV The Ventilator/HRV/ERV menu configures the operation of a whole home ventilator, a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) or an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), if installe: S Occupie run time: Configure how many minutes per hour the evice will run uring occupie perios. For example, your home, wake, an sleep Comfort Profiles. S Unoccupie run time: Configure how many minutes per hour the evice will run uring unoccupie perios. For example, your away Comfort Profile. S Reset All: Resets the thermostat back to its efault factory settings an removes any registration information. NOTE: Reset All removes all equipment settings create uring installation. Have your installation instructions nearby to help you reconfigure your thermostat. On Thermostat: 1. Touch Main Menu > Settings > Reset 2. Select a reset option: Reset Registration Rest Contractor Information Reset Registration (only shows if currently registere) Reset All 3. Touch Yes to confirm the reset.
