4 NEW GOVERNMENT POLICY Policy Framework on Solar Hot Water Systems (SHW) To enforce usage of SHW in all new buildings To amend building by-laws to make it mandatory in urban areas to include SHW in building designs Deadline extended for 6Months from May 2017 Regulations for Residential & Commercial Buildings All new and existing buildings where hot water requirements >100litres/day shall incorporate a SHW system Deadline 25 th November
