Standard Desiccator Cabinets Desiccator cabinets are designed for economical dust and moisture-free storage and protection of microelectronic devices, subminiature parts, semiconductor wafers, biochemical mixtures, and electronic subassemblies. The cabinets are constructed of 1 4" solvent bonded acrylic, featuring easyopen doors and 360 o visibility. The doors are fabricated with acrylic bar enforcements to prevent door warpage, assuring a positive seal. Chrome plated wire shelf sliders support a variety of shelf types at 1 2" intervals for best utilization of interior space. The base of divider floor and the inside divider wall are perforated. Desiccators with ESD Protection We offer desiccators for protection against Electro Static Discharge, utilizing a special Static Dissipative PVC. This Static Dissipative type is available in all the standard sizes and configurations as shown in the table on the next page. Custom designs and size requirements are also accepted for consideration. 1

4 Desiccator Cabinets, Optional Features and Accessories Micron-Aire Pure Purge System Provides fully automatic control over the humidity impurity levels in your desiccator environment. A built-in relative humidity monitoring system maintains preset relative humidity within ±3% by reading the humidity levels in the desiccator. The system uses a fastresponse capacitive probe to measure internal humidity over the full range from 0-100% R.H. to control nitrogen purging. It is equipped with an advanced monitoring and alarm system. The Micron-Aire Pure Purge will let you know when any desired preset condition changes. Alarms included on the system are: Low supply of nitrogen source; high internal pressure; door open condition; drop in pressure. The Micron-Aire provides economical use of nitrogen. No desiccant tray is needed. The gel is contained in the control section, where it absorbs moisture to maintain a low (30-40%) relative humidity. The silica gel inside adsorbs moisture through perforations in the aluminum case. A canister maintains a safe level of humidity in 3 cu. ft. (0.11m3) of space.
