2 VENTILATION & DAYLIGHT WITH LAYERS This advice applies to a temperate / cold climate. In the side wall Tulderhof advises air inlets. In the front wall we usually place tunnel inlets. Most of the time we use the Flash air inlet and in the front the Tunnel Twin (different option available). Depending on the requirements of 3% daylight, Tulderhof can supply the following products: Black out side windows Black out roof windows Black out ridge Comparison classic air inlet & Flash Classic air inlets send the air straight into the cage system and therefore also in the nest. Because of this, the hens will lay more eggs on ground level. They seek shelter because of the unpleasant drafts. With the Flash air inlet you can send the air over the cage systems. The position of the Flash air inlet depends on: The distance between the wall and the first cage row of the cage system The height of the system and side wall The available space above the system Depending on these factors either the centre of the Flash air inlet or the bottom of the Flash air inlet is set level with the top of the system.
