13 Important Facts Sanitizing Wipes Dry Time: All wipes have a dry time. Read the label. If the dry time is 60 or 90 seconds, then the surface must stay wet for seconds before it dries in order to kill the germs. If it dries before the stated dry time, then you will need to re-wipe. Hand Sanitizers: Not All Sanitizers Are Equal: Alcohol-based hand sanitizers can reduce the number of germs on hands in some situations, but sanitizers do not eliminate all types of germs. Always use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol. Read all instructions to make sure you are using the proper amount and don t use hand sanitizer as a substitute for handwashing. September 25,
