2 Notification: If the HYDRIM L110w / M2 is leaking at the bottom of the door, the seal needs replacing. Order the replacement kit # S. 3 Materials Included: HYDRIM L110w / M2 Door Seal Replacement #1: Wash Chamber Seal #2: Samples of the Wash Chamber Seal (x2) #3: Bottom Seal #4: D-Strip Door Seal #5: Silicone adhesive #1 #4 #2 #5 #3 Tools Required: Scalpel / Single edge razor Small scraper / flat screwdriver Pen / fine tiped marker Procedure: Step 1 Remove the door from unit by removing the 8 screws (4 on each side). Remove the existing chamber, bottom and door seals Attention! Not all units were originally supplied with the D-Strip Door Seal Step 2 Preparation for seal installation: a. Ensure all of the silicone adhesive applied during the previous seal installation is removed Important! Excess silicone adhesive from the previous installation can cause uneven sealing surfaces and/or blockage of a drainage passage that may result in leakage after the seal replacement Page Rev. 2

4 b. Ensure that a silicone adhesive seal exists between the chamber and seal channel, along the top and sides of the wash chamber, the area located behind the Wash Chamber Seal. c. Clean the interior/lower portion of the door for the self adhesive D-Strip Door Seal Attention! While not all units were originally supplied with the D-Strip Door Seal, this seal is to be included as part of this installation Step 3 Installation of the Wash Chamber and Bottom Seals: a. Insert the Bottom Seal within the bottom seal channel Important! To ensure correct positioning of the bottom seal, insert the left and the right sides first, afterwards fit the middle into the channel and smooth it out. b. Fit the two Samples of the Wash Chamber Seal within the lower sections of the left and right sides of the wash chamber seal channel. Slide the sample profiles downward within the channel until they are in direct contact with the Bottom Seal. Using a pen/fine tipped marker, transfer the contour of the seal/gasket on to the Bottom Seal. c. Remove and discard the two sample profiles, carefully remove the Bottom Seal from the channel. Using a scaple/single edge razor, cut out the marked seal profile. After the seal profile has been cut into the bottom seal, cut a drainage passage into both ends as per the images below. Marked Seal Profile Important! Ensure that accurate cuts are made Attention! While not all units were originally supplied with drainage passages, this is to be included as part of this installation. 5 Incorrect Cut: Cut in Bottom Seal extends beyond Wash Chamber Seal profile Cut the drainage passage within the Bottom Seal, leaving approx. 5-6 mm flat sections at each end of the seal d. Apply a thin layer of silicone adhesive through the top and side edges of bracket for Wash Chamber seal as shown in the picture below, and insert the Wash Chamber Seal within the seal channel. Clean this area and apply silicone Important! To ensure correct positioning / minimize seal distortion, insert corners first and do not pull/stretch the seal profile during installation e. Apply a small bead of silicone adhesive along the bottom/entire length of the Bottom Seal channel, and a small amount of adhesive to the Bottom Seal where the cut profile will be in contact with the Chamber Seal. Install the Bottom Seal within the channel. Important! To ensure correct positioning of the bottom seal, insert the left and the right sides first, afterwards fit the middle into the channel and smooth it out. Align top of Bottom Seal with the top edge of the exterior chamber frame. Important! Ensure that the Wash Chamber Seal and the profile cut within the Bottom Seal have been sealed together and to that all excess silicone adhesive on the seals / sealing surfaces has been removed prior to the curing of the adhesive Page Rev. 2

6 Drainage Passage cut earlier Seal this Surface Important! Ensure that excess silicone adhesive does not restrict the drainage passage Important! The door should not be installed until the silicone adhesive has cured Note - The drainage passage was designed to prevent leakage problems by forcing residual water to slide along the seals and back into the chamber via the passage. Step 4 Installation of the D-Strip Door Seal: a. With approx mm (1 1 1/2") on each end of the adhesive s protective backing pulled over to one side, place and press each end of the "D" profile seal on the door just above the door s hinge cut-out.the seal should extend 1-2mm outside of the edge door frame on each side see pictures below. b. While pulling the protective backing from the gasket, align and apply pressure to the seal Attention! While not all units were originally supplied with the D-Strip Door Seal, this seal is to be included as part of this installation Attention! - The D-Strip Door Seal must extend 1-2mm outside of the edge of the door frame on each side to fully seal the bottom corners of the chamber frame to prevent leakage issues. 7 1-2 mm outside frame on each side Step 5 Re-install the chamber door using the 8 screws that were removed during step 1. Post-installation Checks Compression Set on the Bottom Seal Note - compression set can only be checked after the door was kept closed for some time or after running a cycle. If the door is left open for too long the bottom seal indent will recover and the compression set won t be visible. 1. Verify that: a. There is a well defined horizontal indent (compression set) in the middle of the Bottom Seal similar to the figure below. b. The compression set is in contact with the Wash Chamber Seal. Clear Compression Set Ensure that the Compression Set is in contact with the Wash Chamber Seal 2. If any one of the conditions mentioned above were not met, or if there exists a defect on the Bottom Seal, troubleshoot and fix accordingly. Possible corrective actions include: a. Replacing the chamber door if it contains defects or is bent. b. Replacing the Bottom Seal if it contains defects or was improperly placed onto the U-channel. Note - Leakage issues may arise: If the water volume in unit is greater than 8 L (suggested water volume range: 6-8 L). If the unit is improperly levelled and visibly tilted forward. Page Rev. 2
