2 ABOUT US OVERVIEW is started to improve the safety, health and environment among industries, construction sites and for general public. Our aim is to prevent death, injury and illness by educating safety to all. To achieve the above target, we issue safety pamphlets, safety banners on important days on free of cost to the industries and we also support the families of industrially injured people financially and morally. We also conduct free safety training programs in medium based industries, small construction companies schools, ITI s, colleges and other educational institutions to spread the safety awareness. SEED is determined to carry the values and standards of safety as it grows. SEED is known as a can do organization, available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to respond to all your safety needs, from initial workforce training till field safety solutions.

4 SAFETY AUDITS Safety Risk Audits identify risks and hazards within your workplace and provide an action plan to minimize/eliminate the risks and hazards. Our safety audit should be carried out by an occupational health and safety professional from various industries and experience. A safety risk audit will address matters that are clearly in the interest of the productivity and safety of the workplace and therefore it resolves the safety management issues. OBJECTIVES OF SAFETY AUDIT: To carry out a systematic, critical appraisal of all potential hazards involving personnel, plant, services and operation method and To ensure that Occupational Safety and Health system fully satisfy the legal requirements and those of the company s written safety policies, objectives and progress.
5 SCOPE OF WORK: A broad outline of the scope of the Comprehensive safety audit is given below: SAFETY MANAGEMENT: Review of Safety and Health Policy Safety Organization Contractor employee activities Statistical Information on losses and injuries Expansion, Modification and Work Permit systems Auditing of Systems for identifying risks hazards and counters measures Review of various safety procedures and manuals Safety Training Accident/Incident reporting, investigation and analysis
6 FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION: Study of existing plant with reference to the following factors: Fire Escape Routes: Obstruction free, properly marked, easily approachable escape routes Built-in Fire Safety Arrangements: hydrant, sprinklers, water storage tanks, hose-pipe reels, hand held fire extinguishers Accessibility: Access route for fire truck to move in and out of the premises Obstruction if any in escape /approach of fire tenders Safety mechanism in system Auto cut off for mechanical, electrical and DG items Standby DG source for firefighting engine / pump Size dimensions of doors, stair-cases vis-à-vis occupancy and staff strength in buildings Special emphasis should be laid on local and material conditions and factors Gap Analysis
