1 WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO TEPEx is the manufacturer of explosion protected electrical equipment. Our program includes Ex light fittings, Ex junction boxes, Ex terminal boxes and control units, Ex distribution cabinets, Ex switchgears, etc. The products are to be used in plants under the influence of explosive atmosphere. Our main customers are Refineries, Pharmaceutical and Petrochemical companies. Equipment installed in areas with risk of explosion and fire must be considered safe for the community, so they must be chosen by companies which are able to accompany the product with a certificate of compliance with international standards. This certificate must be issued by competent and government authorized laboratories, along with a test report to prove that the product is totally safe and suitable for installation on the system concerned. For self-certified safety materials n (no -sparking), it is advisable to ask for internal test reports. Ours lighting fixtures are made of extremely resistant borosilicate glass tubes and globes and copper-free Al-Si aluminium alloy bodies. Aluminium-silicon alloy is one of the most prestigious families in aluminium casting. Noted for its high mechanical strength, sufficient malleability and compactness, this alloy is highly corrosion resistant, as proved by corrosion tests in saline mist, hydrogen sulphide current, hydrochloric acid aqueous solution and galvanic current. Furthermore, aluminium alloy is impermeable and highly resistant to thermal shocks and high pressures; it is also a noise and vibration reducer and does not oxidize in very damp atmospheres, so it is highly durable and can be recycled forever without losing its quality and properties. TEPEx are also specialized in designing and manufacturing special assemblies in explosion-proof execution according to customers specifications, such as control units, terminal boxes, distribution cabinets, low voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies. We also produce systems that are able to grant the grounding of tanks and tankers while loading and unloading inflammables. The firm's employees are specialists in the field of explosion protection. TEPEx is under the constant supervision of the authorized certification institution in Republic of Croatia Ex Agency Zagreb according to ATEX directive 94/9/EC. The production supervision is performed continuously by Europe certification authority for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres CESI according to the requirements provided by standard EN and EN 61241, added to ISO 9001/2001 conduction control certificate, certificated by Swiss Certification Institute SGS. The safety switch ensure the discontenting of all exposed components when the fitting is opened.
