4 Professional Solutions GEZE Cockpit: intelligent building control for smart technology Operating buildings efficiently and safely: the new GEZE Cockpit building automation system truly supports that. It allows automated GEZE products from the fields of door, window and safety technology, along with third-party products, to be operated reliably and monitored precisely. GEZE Cockpit can function both as an independent building automation system or be integrated as part of a higher-ranking building control system. Secure facades: with multifunctional systems The demands on buildings used daily by many people are becoming increasingly complex. Whether for exhibition halls, clinics or airports: the solution is intelligent door and window systems by GEZE which can be integrated in the BACnet communication standard via the IO 420 interface module. The new GEZE Cockpit building automation system enables intelligent systems to be operated and monitored remotely with ease. This enables multifunctional door solutions (for case study see page 8) to be operated separately according to different needs: for example as an accessible door in daytime operation and as a secured escape door in night-time operation. An automatic hook bolt lock with automated sliding door drives ensures increased burglar-resistance at main entrance door solutions (for case study see page 10). The hardware components of the building control system comprise an embedded system, on which three different GEZE software packages with different performance functionalities can be installed. The data exchange between GEZE Cockpit and the products is via the IO 420 interface module on the open communications protocol BACnet. Be it a PC, tablet or smartphone: the GEZE Cockpit applications are browser-based and can therefore be used on every IP capable end device. 9 Professional Solutions GEZE IQ box KNX: direct dialogue between windows and components Energy efficient facades: smart and secure ventilation A natural, energy-efficient supply of fresh air whenever needed entirely on demand and under control at all times: the new GEZE IQ box KNX interface module allows GEZE IQ windowdrives to be directly incorporated in KNX building systems. Thus enabling a dialogue with other KNX-enabled components, such as push buttons and sensors. 16 Living Solutions GEZE ActiveStop: new door control Greater access convenience and a completely new door feeling: GEZE ActiveStop offers this and so much more. The new door damper can stop doors gently, close them quietly and keep them open with ease. Completely new is that as well as the GEZE ActiveStop version that can be integrated in the door leaf or frame, there is now a new version that can be fitted on the frame. It can therefore easily be retrofitted on existing wooden or glass interior doors and be removed virtually without trace. This is a big advantage when used in rental properties, for example. With GEZE ActiveStop, slamming doors, trapped fingers and defects in doors or furniture are a thing of the past. It doesn t matter whether you give the door a small or a hearty push the system opens the door safely and independently, right up to the stopping position which can be personally adjusted to anywhere between 60 to 140 degrees.
