Purpose The purpose of the Instructions for Continued irworthiness Supplement is to provide the maintenance technician with the information necessary to ensure the correct functionality and performance of the Cabin Fire Extinguisher Installation on the Cessna Model This supplemental document is designed to satisfy the required 14 CFR Instructions for Continued irworthiness requirements associated with this installation. This document is a supplement to the Model 208 Maintenance Manual and may or may not be incorporated If this information is incorporated into the Model 208 Maintenance Manual, the maintenance manual shall take precedence over this supplemental document. NOTE: This document must be placed with the aircraft operator s Technical Library CD- ROM or Maintenance Manual and incorporated into the operator s scheduled maintenance program.

Description This supplement is for an additional hand operated fire extinguisher that is mounted to the cabin seat tracks behind the most aft right hand seat and forward of the main cabin entry door. This fire extinguisher and quick release bracket assembly are the same as the one mounted in the pilot s crew door. Operation Figure 2 ttachment Method Refer to the 208 maintenance manual for operation and service requirements System Component(s) HND OPERTED FIRE EXTINGUISHER Refer to the 208 Maintenance Manual chapter FIRE EXTINGUISHER SSEMBLY The fire extinguisher assembly consists of a hand operated fire extinguisher, mounting bracket assembly, and four seat track fitting assemblies. The fire extinguisher assembly is mounted to the seat tracks on the right hand side behind the most aft seat and forward of the main cabin entry door.

Refer to the Model 208 Wiring Diagram Manual, for wiring and wire routing vionics Wiring This supplement makes no changes to aircraft avionics wiring Refer to the Model 208 vionics Wiring Diagram Manual CD ROM., for avionics wiring and wire routing.

10 Cessna ircraft Company Page 6 Wichita, Kansas Supplement No.: IC REMOVL ND INSTLLTION Remove the FIRE EXTINGUISHER. 1. Open quick release clamps. 2. Remove fire extinguisher from bracket assembly Install the FIRE EXTINGUISHER. 1. Place fire extinguisher into bracket assembly with the pressure gage facing up and the neck resting in the neck holder of the bracket assembly. 2. ffix and secure the quick release clamps Fire Extinguisher ssembly Remove the FIRE EXTINGUISHER SSEMBLY. 1. Loosen all two threaded lock nuts. 2. Disengage the collars from the seat tracks by pulling up and turning. 3. Slide fire extinguisher assembly to align fittings with openings in the seat tracks. 4. Lift up to remove Install the FIRE EXTINGUISHER SSEMBLY. 1. Install the fire extinguisher assembly by performing section in reverse order on the right hand side seat tracks just behind the most aft seat and forward of the main cabin entry door.

Maintenance Cabin Fire Extinguisher Line Replaceable Units (LRU) Refer to the 208 Maintenance Manual chapter System Wiring This supplement makes no changes to aircraft wiring. Refer to the Wiring Diagram Manual, Chapter 20, Standard Practices, for wiring maintenance requirements and practices.

NOTE: The irworthiness Limitations section is F-approved and specifies maintenance required under Section and of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations, unless an alternative program has been F approved. This system has no mandatory replacement time or structural inspection procedures, and has no impact on Cessna ircraft Company Model 208 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 4 irworthiness Limitations for Citations or Model 208
